Creative & Company Team Showcase - Michelle Cahoon

I am so excited to begin a fun collaboration this year with my team of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. Over the last three years my team CREATIVE & COMPANY has grown so much. I love getting to know each member of my team and their own style. Each month this year I will be highlighting one member of my team by sharing with you projects they have made with a bundle of their choice.

This week I am showcasing MICHELLE CAHOON

She chose to work with the Petal Park Bundle & coordinating products.

I love this card- blue & yellow is such a great combination and the layout shows off the beautiful pattern paper. This card could be made with all the patterns in the Regency Park DSP Pack and would be a beautiful set of cards to give away as a gift.

She used: Night of navy cardbase with a mango melody layer and a Regency Park DSP layer.  The flowers are from the Petal Park bundle, stamped in pumpkin pie and mango melody then punched out.  The sentiment is from Sentimental Park, heat embossed on Night of Navy and cut out with a die from the bundle.  I also used some of the Night of Navy Bordered Ribbon and the Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots.

For her second card she used an Orchid Oasis cardbase stamped with the flower bunch outline stamp from Sentimental Park (using Orchid Oasis ink).  A layer of Regency Park DSP (Mango Melody) and then Basic White with the leaves/stem from Sentimental Park in Granny Apple Green.  Flowers are also from Sentimental Park and were stamped in multiple colors and die cut.  I used the stamp off method for the fill-in stamp on the flowers (full strength for the outline stamp and then 2nd generation for the inside stamp.)  I also colored the white Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots with Stampin’ Blends to match the flowers.

Card #3 has a Sweet Sorbet cardbase with a layer of white Textured Shimmer Paper from the suite.  The flowers and the flowery sentiment holder (which is really cool—it cuts little slots where you can slide in the die cut sentiment piece) are die cut from Regency Park DSP.  The sentiment is from Sentimental Park and stamped on Shimmery White cardstock in Night of Navy and Sweet Sorbet.  Night of Navy Ribbon and more Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots colored with Stampin’ Blends to finish it off.

This card has a Balmy blue cardbase with a layer of Regency Park DSP and then a layer of Basic White that has been embossed with the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder and splattered with a little Night of Navy and Balmy Blue marker.  The stem is from the Sentimental Park bundle—I die cut two of them and cut one of them down to fit into the other.  The flowers are from Petal Park and are punched out and then layered on top of each other.  The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy on one of the labels from Sentimental Park and then I used a sponge dauber to add a little Night of Navy around the edges so it would stand out from the background.  Finally, a little piece of Night of Navy ribbon.

For her last card she used Shaded Spruce cardbase with a layer of Regency Park DSP then a smaller rectangle of the Shaded Spruce Textured Shimmer Paper.  Stamping was done on Shimmery White cardstock, except the flowers which are on Basic White and punched out with the Petal Park Builder Punch.  The leaves are from Petal Park—I stamped the outline and then used Stampin’ Blends to color them in (I might use the stamp next time, but wanted to try this).  The little dots are also a stamp in the Petal Park stamp set and I chose colors to coordinate with the DSP.  The sentiment is from Sentimental Park and it is sitting on another piece of the Textured Shimmer Paper.  Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots in Petal Pink to finish.

Thank you so much Michelle! Your cards are wonderful.

Have a creative day,

Chelsey
