Global Stampin' Video Hop - April 2024 **ROYALTY** YOU'RE A QUEEN - Use your products in unique ways

It is time for another tutorial for the Global Stampin’ Video Hop on YouTube. Each month on the fourth Friday Stampin’ Up Demonstrators from around the world come together and share their projects based on a monthly theme. April’s Theme is – Royalty. I am so excited to see what everyone creates this month.

This was kind of a hard theme for me since I don’t have any stamps that have the typical royalty themed images, so I had to get creative. Can you guess my train of thought for this card?  I knew I wanted to have Queen as part of my greeting so I used a couple fun products to create a unique sentiment, then I pulled in the heart images because I thought of Queen of Hearts. I am excited to share with you some of the fun techniques I used on this card in today’s tutorial.

I hope you are inspired today as you see all the Royalty Themed Projects from everyone while jumping from video to video. If you are inspired to make a project from something you see today please share it with us, we would love to see what you come up with. You can tag me @creativechelsey in any social media post.

Product List

Measurements:

Bubble Bath Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Berry Burst Cardstock – 4” x 5 ¼” & scraps for cutting out hearts

Bubble Bath Cardstock – scraps for greeting

Fresh Freesia Cardstock – scraps

Granny Apple Green Cardstock – scraps

Soft Sea Foam Cardstock - scraps

1- On the 4” x 5 ¼” Petunia Pop Cardstock – this will be the card front, add a little splattering with a Berry Burst Stampin’ Write Marker. Then add a couple little hearts from the Hooray For Surprises Stamp Set in Berry Burst ink.

2- Die cut two large hearts with holes using the Hooray For Surprises Dies in Petunia Pop Cardstock. I forgot in the video to add a little blending around each heart with Berry Burst ink. This will make them pop a little more from the front of the card. Add these to the center of the card front, one on top of the other.

3- Add Wink of Stella to each of the hearts for a little more pizzazz.

4- If you have one, use a White Gel Pen to add another layer of splatter to the background. Add this to the front of your Bubble Bath Cardbase.

5- Cut out 3 or 4 copies of Queen in Bubble Bath Cardstock with Adhesive Sheets on the back. I used the Playful Alphabet Dies (retired) but you can also use the Mini Alphabet Dies. Stack them together to make a thicker word.

6- Use a ruler to find the center of the card front and to help you add the letters in a straight line. Add them between the two hearts.

7- Find a stamp set that has “you’re” & “a” and stamp this on Bubble Bath Cardstock in Berry Burst ink. I used the Best Family Every Set. Trim down to fit greeting and add with dimensionals above Queen.

8- Cut out any extra dies or stamped images you want to add, I used the Large & Small Flower and both leaves from the Hooray For Surprises Dies in Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green & Soft Sea Foam Cardstock.

9- Add these in the bottom right corner & near the top left of the greeting. Add any little details with a White Gen Pen.

Prep

1- Cut the Champagne Foil Piece into sections. Follow the template below. Use the sections with PP2 (Second Set of Paper Pumpkin Alternatives). You can click on image to enlarge.

2- Cut the Lost Lagoon Cardbase into sections. Follow the template below. Use the sections with PP2 (Second Set of Paper Pumpkin Alternatives). You can click on image to enlarge.

Card #1

Lost Lagoon Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Basic White Cardstock – 1 1/8” x 5 ½” & 5/8” x 2 ¾”

Lost Lagoon Cardbase (kit) – 1” x 5 ½”

Large Multicolor Butterfly (kit)

Gray, Lost Lagoon, Moody Mauve Small Butterflies (kit)

Champagne Foil (kit) – 3/8” x 3 ¼”

Basic Gray Ink Spot (kit)

1- Add the Lost Lagoon strip to the large white strip with the extra showing on the right side. Add this to the cardbase on the left.

2- Stamp the splatter image with Basic Gray ink randomly on the cardbase, stay away from the strips. I did some on the top left & bottom right area, then created a circle in the center where I will place the butterflies.

3- Add the Large Butterfly with dimensionals on the left of center over the strips.

4- Stamp your greeting on the small white strip with Basic Gray ink. Add the Champagne strip under the greeting with the excess on the left. Angle the edge. Add to the card on the right side with dimensionals only on the right, the left with overlap the butterfly.

5- Add the other three smaller butterflies around the greeting and large butterfly with dimensionals.

6- If you want add some embellishments, I used the Sparkle Gems.

Card #2

Pool Party Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Basic White Cardstock – scrap for greeting

Pool Party Cardstock – scrap for die cut

Thanks & Beyond Dies

Lost Lagoon Ink Pad

Lost Lagoon Cardbase (kit) – 3 ¼” x 5 ½”

Envelope (kit ) – back piece

Champagne Foil (kit) – ¼” x 3 ¼”

Basic Gray Ink Spot (kit)

1- Add the Lost Lagoon piece to the center of the cardbase.

2- Die cut the label from the Thanks & Beyond Die from the back of the Envelope. Add this a little higher than center of the cardbase.

3- Angle the ends of the Champagne Foil strip and add to the center of the label.

4- Cut the Butterfly using both dies from Pool Party cardstock. Add to the center of the label with a small dimensional under the center of the butterfly and a glue dot along the outer edge. This will add more dimension to the wings. Slightly bend the center wings up.

5- Stamp “Sending Loving” in Basic White on White Cardstock and fussy cut. Add this to the center of the butterfly with a small dimensional in the center.

6- To finish the greeting, stamp “thoughts your way” in Basic Gray in the center on the inside. If you want add the Butterfly stamp in Lost Lagoon ink over the greeting.

I have also created a video walking you through each step.

Hi, Everyone and welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey.

Over the next couple days, I am going to share with you 10 card ideas you can make with one set of supplies from the April 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Delicate Wings.

The projects from this kit are beautiful with champagne foil details and dark moody colors. I also love the greetings that are in the stamp set. They are perfect for a thoughtful card.

Today I am sharing with you my first set of alternative cards. I have made all three cards from one cardbase in the kit. These layouts are simple and can be used with any pattern paper, so if you didn’t get the kit you can easy replicate these designs with supplies you already have on hand.

Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store.
