Here are the dimensions and pieces you will need to create these cards:

From the Kit:

1- Envelope

1- White long rectangle embossed piece

1- Gold Banner

Extra Cardstock:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock card base 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Whisper White Cardstock - Scrap piece

Basic Black Cardstock Label

Here is a list of the supplies I used to make the cards:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock 140272 $8.25

Whisper White Cardstock 100730 $9.75

Basic Black Cardstock 121045 $8.75

Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Markers – Combo 154880 $9.00

Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers – Combo 154892 $9.00

Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers – Combo 154883 $9.00

Memento Black Ink 132708 $6.00

VersaMark Ink Pad 102283 $9.50

White Embossing Powder 109132 $6.00

Gilded Gems 152478 $7.00

Heat Tool 129053 $30.00

Tasteful Labels Dies 152886 $31.00

Paper Trimmer 152392 $25.00

Simply Shammy 147042 $8.00

Stampin’ Seal Adhesive 152813 $8.00

Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755 $4.00

Dimensionals 104430 $4.00

Clear Block D 118485 $8.50

Paper Snips 103579 $10.00

Bone Folder 102300 $7.00

Stampin' Pierce Mat 126199 $5.00

Take Your Pick Tool 144107 $10.00

Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine 149653 $120.00

1- Open one envelope and trim to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”. Add this to the front of your cardbase with liquid glue, make sure to smooth it out so you don’t get any bumps. Add the White embossed piece to the font with about 1” gap on the right.

2- Stamp your greeting in VersaMark on your black label. Add white embossing powder and heat until shiny. Add the gold banner to the back of the label with dimensionals. Add this to your card about 1/3” way up.

3- Stamp the full flower image 3 times and just the flower 3 times in Memento Black ink. Use the Stampin’ Blend Makers to color in the image. You can switch the color of the inside and outside petals if you want. Fussy cut out the full flowers and cut around the small inside flowers.

4- Add the small flowers over the full flowers with a thinner dimensional. You can get a thinner dimensional by applying a full dimensional to the bottom layer or full flower, place your paper snips flat against the image and cutting the dimensional in half. Then add the small flower on top by adding a little liquid glue to the dimensional foam.

5- Place two flowers near the top of the label with one on top and one slightly under. Place the third flower under the bottom left corner of the label. Add three Gilded Gems.

All Done!

A Beautiful & Simple Alternative Card Idea using October 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Joy To The World

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today is my third alternative project using the October 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Joy to the World. In this tutorial I show you another quick and simple card that uses one card base to create two cards. Plus, more fun ways to use the stamp set, die cuts and embossed cardstock from this kit. I think these cards maybe one of my favorites so far.

I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more videos as I continue to create with this month’s kit. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! Here are the dimensions and pieces you will need to create these cards:

From the Kit:

1- Cardbase

1- Envelope Flap

1- Flower Die-Cut

1- White “square” embossed cardstock

1- Your choice of Gold Word

1- Small greeting label

Extra Cardstock:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock card base 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Here is a list of the supplies I used to make the cards:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock 140272 $8.25

VersaMark Ink Pad 102283 $9.50

Gold Embossing Powder 109129 $6.00

Heat Tool 129053 $30.00

3” Circle Die from Layering Circles Dies 151770 $35.00

Paper Trimmer 152392 $25.00

Simply Shammy 147042 $8.00

Stampin’ Seal Adhesive 152813 $8.00

Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755 $4.00

Dimensionals 104430 $4.00

Clear Block D 118485 $8.50

Paper Snips 103579 $10.00

Bone Folder 102300 $7.00

Stampin' Pierce Mat 126199 $5.00

Take Your Pick Tool 144107 $10.00

Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine 149653 $120.00

1- Trim your cardbase into 2 card fronts (4 1/8” x 5 3/8”) Start by removing ½” from the top of the cardbase. Then trim in half at 4 1/8”. Then cut each piece vertically at 2 ½” so you have a large piece that is 2 ½” x 5 3/8”” and a small piece 1 5/8” x 5 3/8”.

Remove the flap from one of the envelopes. Trim off the white areas so you have two pieces strips that are ½” x 4 ¼”.

2- On the plain Crumb Cake pieces randomly stamp “the cluster of three berries” in VersaMark ink. Add gold embossing powder then heat until shiny.

3- Add one of the large Crumb Cake pieces to the left side of your cardbase, either the gold stripe or berry pattern. Then add the smaller piece to the right side. There should be about 1/16” border around the edge of the card.

4- Cut a 3” circle shape from the White embossed cardstock (I used the Layering Circle Dies). Add this to the middle of the card on the right. Add the ½” envelope patter over the bottom of the circle with a little of the circle showing.

5- Adhere the flower die-cut with adhesive under the flowers and dimensionals under the leaves. Add this over the left side of the circle at a slight angle following the curve of the circle.

6- Stamp one of the greetings on the small label in Just Jade ink. I wanted it to be smaller so I trimmed the edge right along the stitching. Add this slightly over the top of the Cherry Cobbler piece to the right of the flower. Then adhere your gold foil word above at a slight angle. Tie a bow with 8” of Cherry Cobbler Twine from the kit.

All Done!

Paper Pumpkin Alternative October 2020 Kit Joy To The World | How I use the Wreath Stamp Tips/Tricks

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today is my second alternative project using the October 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Joy to the World. In this tutorial I share with you my tips and tricks for using the Wreath Stamp that came in the kit and a quick tip on stepping up a simple square piece of cardstock by adding a decorative corner. Plus, we make two handmade cards from one cardbase which is a nice way to stretch this kit.

I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more videos as I continue to create with this month’s kit. Here are the dimensions and pieces you will need to create these cards:

From the Kit:

1- Vertical lined cardbase

1- Envelope Flap (I used the leftover piece from my first alternative cards)

1- Wreath Die-Cut

1- Your choice of Gold Word

Extra Cardstock:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock card base 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Whisper White Cardstock 2 ½” x 2 ½” | ½” x 2” | Scrap piece

Here is a list of the supplies I used to make the cards:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock 140272 $8.25

Whisper White Cardstock 100730 $9.75

Wonderful Gems 153536 $8.00

Shimmer Crystal Effects 150892 $5.00

Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad 147083 $7.50

VersaMark Ink Pad 102283 $9.50

Gold Embossing Powder 109129 $6.00

Heat Tool 129053 $30.00

Everyday Label Punch 144668 $18.00

Paper Trimmer 152392 $25.00

Simply Shammy 147042 $8.00

Stampin’ Seal Adhesive 152813 $8.00

Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755 $4.00

Dimensionals 104430 $4.00

Clear Block D 118485 $8.50

Paper Snips 103579 $10.00

Bone Folder 102300 $7.00

Stampin' Pierce Mat 126199 $5.00

Take Your Pick Tool 144107 $10.00

Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine 149653 $120.00

1- Trim your cardbase into 2 card fronts (4 1/8” x 5 3/8”) Start by removing ½” from the top of the cardbase. Then trim in half at 4 1/8”. Then cut each piece horizontally at 3 ½” so you have a large piece that is 3 ½” x 4 1/8” and a small piece 1 7/8” x 4 1/8”.

2- Remove the flap from one envelope – I used the leftover piece from my first alternative card (http://creativechelsey.blogspot.com/2020/10/october-2020-paper-pumpkin-joy-to-world.html). Trim off the white areas so you have two pieces strips, ½” x 4 ¼” & 1” x 4 ¼”.

3- On a cardbase add the gold foil piece to the top and the plain crumb cake piece to the bottom. There should be a think 1/16” border around the edges. You will do the same thing for the other card, but the sizes will be switched. Add either the thin or think strip over the seam where the two pieces meet.

4- Stamp the wreath, either on the wreath die-cut or on the 2 ½” square white cardstock.

Stamping on the Wreath Die-Cut: Line up the image correctly on the plastic sheet the stamps come on. In the corner there is a small 90-degree marking. Use a permanent marker and make a small mark on the back of the stamp in the “valley” near the 90-degree marking.

When stamping onto the Wreath Die-Cut line this “valley” up with the single berry along the outside edge that is nearest to the flowers before it is removed from it’s paper surround. This will line up the stamp with the berries on the die so you don’t stamp over any berries.

Ink up the image with Just Jade ink spot and stamp, just make sure everything looks lined up – if this is too much to concern yourself with, just stamp the image onto the die-cut without worrying about it. Add a gold word from the kit with liquid glue to the areas of the wreath it touches.

Stamping on the Whisper White Cardstock:
Ink up the wreath image with Just Jade and then stamp in the center. Then rotate the stamp a little and stamp again without re-inking. This will give you a fuller wreath with two shades of color. Add the berry image with Cherry Cobbler ink to the center of the foliage all the way around. I stamped about 9 clusters in my wreath. Add a little Shimmery Crystal Effects to each berry, let dry.

Create a decorative corner: Turn the Everyday Label Punch over to the back and insert just the corner into the curved area of the punch. Push the paper in as far as it will go and then punch. Repeat on all corners.

Stamp “To The World” in Cherry Cobbler on the ½” strip. Add to the right corner of the wreath with a little hanging off. Stamp “Joy” in VersaMark ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, add gold embossing powder, heat until shiny and fussy cut out. Add above “To The World” over the wreath image.

6- Add your wreath images over the Cherry Cobbler pattern strip on the right side of the cardbase with dimensionals. Tie a bow with 8” of twine from the kit and add it to the bottom right corner of the wreaths. Add three red Wonderful Gems.

All Done!

From the Kit:

1- Horizontal lined cardbase

1- Envelope

2- Flower die-cuts

1- Large Greeting Label

Extra Cardstock:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock card base 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Whisper White Cardstock 1” x 4”

Here is a list of the supplies I used to make the cards:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock 140272 $8.25

Whisper White Cardstock 100730 $9.75

Wonderful Gems 153536 $8.00

Early Espresso Ink Pad 147114 $7.50

VersaMark Ink Pad 102283 $9.50

Gold Embossing Powder 109129 $6.00

Heat Tool 129053 $30.00

Banner Pick-a-Punch

Paper Trimmer 152392 $25.00

Simply Shammy 147042 $8.00

Stampin’ Seal Adhesive 152813 $8.00

Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755 $4.00

Dimensionals 104430 $4.00

Clear Block D 118485 $8.50

Paper Snips 103579 $10.00

Bone Folder 102300 $7.00

Stampin' Pierce Mat 126199 $5.00

Take Your Pick Tool 144107 $10.00

Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine 149653 $120.00

1- Trim your cardbase into 2 card fronts (4 1/8” x 5 3/8”) Start by removing ½” from the top of the cardbase. Then trim in half at 4 1/8”

2- Trim the edges of an envelope. Then when open trim the pattern into 2 pieces (2 ¾” x 4 ¼”).

3- On the solid card front stamp the flower image 2 times along the left edge and 1 time on the right in VersaMark ink. Apply Gold Embossing Powder and heat with Heat Tool until shinny.

4- Add the card fronts to the cardbases. Add the Cherry Cobbler pattern piece to the bottom right corner with about ½” gap on the right and bottom.

5- Stamp your greeting on to the large label from the kit or the 1” x 4” strip (you can flag the ends of the strip to create a banner shape). I used Just Jade ink from the kit for the main sentiment and Early Espresso for the smaller greeting. Add this to your card centered over the Cherry Cobbler pattern piece with dimensionals.

6- On each flower die-cut, use paper snips to separate the large flower from the smaller one.

7- Slide the cut ends under the greeting on the top and bottom. I like to use a strong adhesive under the greeting and place a dimensional on the opposite side to give dimension to this element. Add three Wonderful Gems or other embellishment to your card.

All Done!
