1- Cut the Natural Touch Specialty Paper to the desired size. If making a card, adhere it to the cardbase. Add some Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the Silicone Craft Sheet and pick up with a Stampin’ Sponge. Add the glue to the edges of the Natural Touch paper like you would if you were distressing the paper with ink. Place the edges in the Gilded Leafing and then remove excess with another Stampin’ Sponge.

2- Cut the Sky pattern of Butterfly Bijou to your desired size and add it to the center of the Natural Touch paper with dimensionals.

3- Use the Stamparatus and stamp the Butterfly Brilliance Background stamp on Basic White Cardstock with Memento Ink. Then cut out the Butterflies using the coordinating Brilliant Wings Dies and your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

4- Color the butterflies with your choice of Stampin’ Blend Markers. I have listed the ones I used in the product list above. You can also watch the video below for more details on how I colored each butterfly.

5- Stamp your saying on Basic White cardstock with VersaMark ink. Cover in Gold Embossing Powder and heat set until shiny. Punch or cut out. I used the Tasteful Touches Dies with the Ridiculously Awesome Stamp Set for the Frame & Everyday Label Punch with the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set for the Card.

6- On the back of the saying add 16” of unraveled Gold Twine in a bow shape. Keep a knot in the middle to keep it together. Then add 16” of White Ribbon in a “z” shape on top. Trim the ends at an angle. Add this to the frame/card in the center with dimensionals.

7- Curl up the wings of the butterflies and add them around the saying with dimensionals. Place some Faceted Gilded Gems inside the wings to add some bling. Add inside a frame is you want.

All Done!

IN BLOOM BUNDLE - Quick Tip - How I add depth and color to the Pierced Blooms Dies from Stampin' Up!

Today I am sharing another card from my Stampin’ Up 2021 Artisan Design Team showcase project in January 2021.

If you would like to see all my projects together you can visit my blog post here:

http://creativechelsey.blogspot.com/2021/01/artisan-design-team-january-2021.html

For this card I wanted to focus on using the Dies that come bundled with the In Bloom Stamp Set. These dies have such a fun look with the pierced details. I wanted to step them up a bit by adding a light watercolor wash with ink of the same color as the cardstock. This fun technique gives the Pierced Blooms Dies depth and color. You can use this technique in many different ways, try it with a darker ink color or on White Cardstock. Either way it is fun! I hope you enjoy this tutorial and that it inspires you to create something beautiful today.

1- Cut two pieces from the Paper Bloom DSP that coordinate. Top piece 3 ½” x 4 ¾”. Bottom piece 3 ¾” x 5” Add these to the cardbase at opposing angles.

2- Cut out the flower and leaf shapes with coordinating cardstock, I used Rococo Rose, Petal Pink, Old Olive, Soft Sea Foam, and Seaside Spray. Cut out a label from Night of Navy cardstock.

3- On the die cuts, add a watercolor wash with coordinating ink colors over parts of the shapes. If you want a darker color add more ink and less water, for lighter add more water than ink. You could also use darker ink colors if you want a stronger look. Let dry.

4- Add pearls to the center of the flower die cuts. For the larger flowers I clustered three pearls together.

5- Add the Night of Navy label about 1/3” from the top and centered on the cardbase with a single dimensional in the center. This will give you space to tuck the flower and leaves around the label. You can always add more dimensionals after.

6- Start with the large flowers and place them in opposite corners. Then add the leaves.

7- Stamp the greeting in Night of Navy ink in the center of the Basic White strip and adhere to the center of the label with a couple dimensionals.

8- Add the medium & small flowers around the label & greeting.

All Done
