July Club

I love the month of July mainly for the fireworks! I thought it would be fun to create something with a patriotic theme and this is what I came up with. It was so easy. The stars are from the star jumbo roller stamp and then I cut them out with the large and small star punch. I also love the glitter on the card and the texture created by the crimper. Hope you can find some inspiration to help you create your own projects.

Internet Down

I am so sorry I haven't been able to add anything to my blog lately because the internet is down at my home. I am trying to get it fixed and hope to be up and running soon.

June Club

My theme for last months club is "No Stamps". I know this sounds weird because at the heart of Stampin Up are stamps, but they have come out with so many other products that I thought it would be fun to make projects without stamps.
I bought a lot of Designer Series Paper last month because of the great deal Stampin' Up was offering, so I used it on this great card. I love the summer colors and the easy die cut flowers and cute button. But "Hey" you say, "I thought you weren't using stamps, what are these words I see"...well... they are rub-ons. Check them out on page173 of the catalog. Rub-ons are really nice to have, they are quick and easy to add to any project, stick to about anything (I've used them on candles, glass, and paper of course) and they are really easy to store because they are flat; and now they are coming out in color!
Here are the pages we did in club last month. I love the simplicity that simply scrappin kits provide. There were not enough stickers for everyone to have the same flower so there were 3 options. Which one do you like the best?

The Damage

When I am in my creative mode, I have a tendency to get everything out and make a huge mess... here is the aftermath of ONE night of creativity!

Happy Birthday Grandma

My Grandmothers birthday was on the 1st. She is always asking me for cards and so I thought it would be nice to make her some cards for her birthday. Here is what I came up with, by the way I again used the Big Shot (I loved it so much I might just have to get one!)

I used the Bella Rose DSP and 2 discontinued stamp sets. I also just bought the stampin-a-jig and used it to place to words just right on the front of the box. On most projects I wouldn't worry about using it, but on something like this it is a life saver!

As you can see there are 6 cards each using different sides of the DSP. Inside I stamped a really simple message so my Grandmother can just add something short and not feel like she needs to write a lot. Then I made a very simple box to put them in. What is cool, but I didn't get a picture of this... is that the lid goes behind the Top Note shape (I bumped it out with some dimensional) This adds a lot to the box, both when it is open or close.

She loved them!

Big Shot

So while I was borrowing Kasia's Big Shot, I thought I would go crazy and make a couple fun projects.
I really love the look of scallops and the scallop circle die cut caught my attention and I have been meaning to try and idea I had a while ago: making a circular mini scrapbook, here is what I came up with. Now I just need a couple pictures of a really cute little girl to add to each page.

May Club Stuff - Sorry I am behind!

I really enjoyed making everything for this months club. My fabulous upline, Kasia, let me borrow her Big Shot & Dies, so I incorporated the Big Shot into the projects as much as I could. Here I have used the wild about you stamp set, the dry emboss big shot dies, and the Go go boots letter die cuts, and some designer paper that has been discontinued (bummer). Here are some close ups: I had a lot of fun showing my clubs how to make the group of animals so close together by using what I call the "post-it note" technique. For those who don't know, you stamp your first image it being the one you want in the very front, for this group I did the alligator first, then you cut out a post-it note to cover the alligator and stamp your next image, ie the lion, you continue to stamp and cover, keeping all covers on until your done, and you end up with a really fun group of animals or whatever!

For the card I used a design that I made at an up line meeting I went to last month. I thought I would work perfectly for fathers day or anyone who had lent a helping hand. We used the Totally tool stamp set, the fabulous Parisian Breeze Designer Paper, the Big Shot Top Note die cutter to cut out the fun shape in the back, and used a technique to make it look like leather, and then added some ribbon and brads. Everyone loved it.

I do have some openings in both my Salt Lake & Layton Clubs, if your interested in joining please let me know! Not only do you get these projects for FREE, they are really fun!!
