Are you ready for another TGIF Challenge. This one was so fun. It is a product challenge – PUNCHES!
This weeks Challenge:
I was inspired by some cards I have seen recently on social
media that have this fun punched or die cut raised background and wanted to try
making my own. I used the Heart Punch Pack and the new (coming soon) Designer Series
Paper – Country Floral Lane to create a striking background for my card.
Don’t miss out on being inspired by the other designers – head over to TGIF Challenges Blog - https://tgifchallenges.blogspot.com/2022/12/tgifc400-product-challenge.html
I would love to see what you are inspired to create from this week’s challenge. To participate upload it to the TGIF blog post using the Linky Tool at the bottom. See the guidelines on the TGIF post.
Product List
1- Punch a bunch of shapes from your favorite Designer Series Paper or Cardstock. I used 10 hearts from the Heart Punch Pack and the new Country Lane Floral DSP – new product to be released January 5 2023!
2- Create a fun pattern and adhere them with dimensionals to
a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of coordinating cardstock. Trim the shapes to fit the cardstock
and add the cardstock to the front of your cardbase.
3- Stamp your greeting and add to the center of the card.
I used Balmy Blue Cardstock ¾” x 4 ¼” and punched the ends
with the Banner Pick A Punch. Stamped the greeting “LOVE” in VersaMark and heat
embossed in white. Make the greeting pop more by darkening the area around it
with Balmy Blue ink and a blending brush.
I also cut out a larger greeting “Sending” from Silver Foil
Sheet & Coordinating Cardstock and added them together, then with
dimensionals to the Balmy Blue strip.
Punch out any leaves/branches (Bough Punch) and tuck behind
the greeting – I did two in Mossy Meadow and two in Mint Macaron.
Add the greeting to the center of the card.
4- Add some embellishments – Basic Rhinestones.
All Done!
