Ornament Symmetrical Design - An Alternative for October 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Stampin' Up!

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Thanks for joining me today as I share some beautiful Christmas themed Alternate Card Ideas you can make with supplies from the October 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Cozy Christmas.

The cards in this kit are quick and simple with Christmas themed images and colors. The kit makes a total of 9 cards 3 of three different designs with coordinating envelopes.

I have made a lot of alternatives, 8 to be exact with the contents to create one set of the original cards. This is the third alternative card I will be sharing with you this week. This card uses the Ornament Die to create a symmetrical design. I love cutting up the same details so I can place them exactly where I want them and then use the leftover pieces on other cards.

Real Red Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Basic White Cardstock – scrap & 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”

Red Pattern Cardbase KIT – Outside Frame Piece 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”

Green Pattern Cardbase KIT – ½” x 4”

White Pattern Piece KIT

1- Make sure to use the Cutting Guide (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mAji1pYr_nlLOa1tyCgBiMo9gV6MuyvS/view?usp=sharing) to cut your pattern paper to the right size from the cardbases in the kit. Make sure to lift the cutting blade into the center of the cardbase before removing the center piece.

2- Add the Red Cardbase Frame to the center of the Real Red Cardbase.

3- Stamp the Snowflake image in Pecan Pie ink randomly on the White Pattern Piece. Use 2^nd Generation Stamping (stamp twice before inking) to get a dark & light image. Add this to the center of the cardbase with dimensionals.

4- Trace the Basic Beige Ornament on the back side of one Envelope. If you haven’t already separated the front, back & flap – do that first. Fussy cut out the Ornament shape.

5- Add the Envelope Pattern Ornament shape to the back of the Real Red Ornament. You can tuck the Green Strip behind the center section if you remember, if not, you can cut it in half and tuck it slightly behind both sides.

6- Flap the ends of the Green Strip. Add the Ornament to the center of the Cardbase with dimensionals.

7- Fussy cut some of the small Green Velvet Details from the Basic Beige Ornament and add symmetrically to the Ornament on your card.

8- Cut the JOY Die from Basic White Cardstock and add to the center of the ornament with dimensionals.

If you want you can add a touch of Wink of Stella to the top of the JOY die and around the Red Ornament.

9- Add the 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” Basic White piece to centered to the inside for your handwritten note.

All Done!
