October 2025 Cozy Christmas Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card Idea - Make A Smaller Christmas Tree

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Thanks for joining me today as I share some beautiful Christmas themed Alternate Card Ideas you can make with supplies from the October 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Cozy Christmas.

The cards in this kit are quick and simple with Christmas themed images and colors. The kit makes a total of 9 cards 3 of three different designs with coordinating envelopes.

I have made a lot of alternatives, 8 to be exact with the contents to create one set of the original cards. I have created a template showing how to cut the cardbases and envelope, plus the measurements for the extra cardstock pieces for each alternative and you can find the link to download this cutting template here - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mAji1pYr_nlLOa1tyCgBiMo9gV6MuyvS/view?usp=sharing

This is the second alternative card I will be sharing with you this week. This card shows you how to make a smaller Christmas Tree and how I removed the excess cardstock to give the tree a lighter and more interesting look.

If you would like to watch me unbox the kit and make the original cards visit this playlist - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL40dV1oxpkNl4xaWqLcI0lmyqerzajmin

Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store. A full supply list is below.

I also want to mention the amazing perks you can receive when you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me as your demonstrator. With every Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set & Ink Spot sent, I design a card and mail out my very own card kit to my subscribers so they can make two of my exclusive card design. These cards so fun and show new ways to use stamps & ink. We also meet once each month to make the card together, chat & have fun.

*PLUS I have joined with other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators to design 7-10 more alternative ideas in a PDF Tutorial (includes photos & instructions). My subscribers receive this PDF Tutorial along with an Exclusively Designed Card Kit, all for FREE! If you would also like to receive this extra perk, sign up for paper pumpkin using the link below and make sure to select me as your demonstrator.

If you are interested in getting your own paper pumpkin subscription, please use this link to subscribe -  https://www.stampinup.com/products/paper-pumpkin-subscription/?demoid=2042902

Red Cardbase KIT - 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” Frame

Green Cardbase KIT – (2) ½” x 3 ¾”

Beige Cardbase KIT – 2 ¾” x 4 ¼”

1- Make sure to use the Cutting Guide (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mAji1pYr_nlLOa1tyCgBiMo9gV6MuyvS/view?usp=sharing) to cut your pattern paper to the right size from the cardbases in the kit. Make sure to lift the cutting blade into the center of the cardbase before removing the center piece.

2- Add the Red Cardbase Frame to the center of the Real Red Cardbase.

3- Separate 2 sections on the top and 3 sections on the bottom from the Christmas Tree Rows. Try to keep them together. You should have two single sections as leftover pieces.

4- Remove the white area around the Christmas Tree Rows. Try to keep all the sections together if you can. Add these to the center of the Basic Beige Pattern Cardbase piece with dimensionals along the bottom row and glue dots for the second row. Add one section at the top with dimensionals to complete the smaller Christmas Tree.

5- Add the Red Star to the top with a dimensional. Stamp your greeting at the bottom in Pecan Pie.

6- Attach one strip to the back of the Basic Beige Pattern piece, centered on each side with about ¼” showing. Add this to the cardbase with dimensionals.

7- Add the Basic White piece to the inside if you want.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step.
