Two Panel Alternative Card Ideas for May 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Mountain Majesties - Stampin' Up!

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Today I am sharing another beautiful set of alternatives cards ideas you can make with supplies from the May 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Mountain Majesties.

The cards in this kit have beautiful mountain scenes. The kit makes a total of 9 cards 3 of three different designs with coordinating envelopes.

For my third set of alternatives I am showing two different panel cards. I love how easy it is to pop up a piece of the card front to give it extra emphasis. I hope you enjoy this tutorials and try panel cards on your next project.

If you would like to watch me unbox the kit and make the original cards visit this playlist -  https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL40dV1oxpkNn5ahdYBdt92pbTIg2OGPFb

Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store. A full supply list is below or on my blog – www.creativechelsey.com

I also want to mention the amazing perks you can receive when you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me as your demonstrator. With every Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set & Ink Spot sent, I design a card and mail out my very own card kit to my subscribers so they can make two of my exclusive card design. These cards so fun and show new ways to use stamps & ink. We also meet once each month to make the card together, chat & have fun.

*PLUS I have joined with other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators to design 7-10 more alternative ideas in a PDF Tutorial (includes photos & instructions). My subscribers receive this PDF Tutorial along with an Exclusively Designed Card Kit, all for FREE! If you would also like to receive this extra perk, sign up for paper pumpkin using the link below and make sure to select me as your demonstrator.

Side Panel

Thick Basic White Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Basic White Cardstock – scrap for greeting

Mossy Meadow Cardstock – scraps for die cuts

Linen Thread – 22” & 10”

Pink, Blue & Green Card Front – Kit

1- Trim the front of the Pink, Blue & Green Cardbase to 4 ¼” x 5-3/8” make sure to cut along the score line. Then cut the left side to 2 ¾” x 5-3/8”.

2- Emboss the right side with your choice of embossing folder. I used So Swirly. Add this piece to the right side of the cardbase with a small border on the top, right & bottom edges.

3- Cut out two Pine Bough Leaves (Merry Tags & More Dies) from Mossy Meadow Cardstock. Separate the leaf sections so you can straighten out the center to make them look like trees. You may also want to slightly bend each leaf so they are more horizontal. Add them along the bottom edge of the 2 ¾” piece at different heights and trim off the bottom.

4- Stamp your greeting on Basic White Cardstock in Misty Moonlight and cut out with the label from the Hugs Abloom Dies. Add about ¾” from the top with dimensionals.

5- Wrap 22” of Linen Thread twice below the tag. Tie a single knot and lay a 10” piece of linen thread across the knot and tie a second knot on top. Even out the ends and with both strands tie a double bow.

6- Add this panel to the left side of the cardbase with dimensionals. Make sure it lines up with the embossed panel and has even borders all the way around the card.

All Done!

Center Panel

Thick Basic White Cardstock – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Basic White Cardstock – scrap for greeting & 2 ¼” x 3 ½”

Petal Pink Cardstock – 3” x 3”

Pink, Brown & Blue Card Front – Kit

Brown Hill Die Cut – Kit

Blue Envelope – Kit

1- Cut the Pink, Brown & Blue Cardbase to 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”.

2- Remove the center of this piece with a 1” border all the way around. You can use a rectangle die cut or your paper trimmer. Steps with a paper trimmer: Line up the right edge of your paper with the 1” mark on the right side of the trim line. Begin your cut with your Cutting blade in the center of your paper and cut up to 1” and down to either 3-1/8” or 4-3/8” (depending if you are cutting along the short or long edge) on the cutting arm of your paper trimmer. Lift up the cutting arm and rotate your paper and repeating the steps for all 4 sides.

3- Splatter brown ink over the frame (I used Pecan Pie Stampin’ Write Marker, but you could also use a ink refill or blend marker). Add to the front of the Thick Basic White Cardbase.

4- Distress the Left & Right sides of the 3” x 3” Petal Pink piece by tearing and rolling the cardstock. Add this to the center of the opening on the cardbase.

5- Layer the Basic White Cardstock piece under the Center Panel, there should be a small 1/16” border. Add this over the Petal Pink Cardstock and frame opening with dimensionals.

6- Cut out the Label from the Hugs Abloom Dies from the bottom of the Brown Hill Die Cut piece and add to the center of the panel with dimensionals.

7- Stamp your greeting on Basic White Cardstock in Misty Moonlight ink. I used Thanks from the Autumn Abundance September 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit. Trim down to fit (1/2” x 1 ¾”).

8- Wrap Linen Thread around your hand three times and add to the back of the greeting. Add the greeting with dimensionals in the center of the Brown Label.

9- Cut out Leaves using the Hugs Abloom Dies from the Blue Envelope Flap and separate into two groups. Tuck one under the greeting on the top right and one under the Brown Label in the bottom left.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step.
