This is the second alternative card idea I will be sharing with you this week and it is a cute cut. By separating the front into three panels you create a fun way to open your card – and if you want to tuck a little surprise inside. I love the beautiful marble background and the texture created by the row of hearts behind the large heart die cut.
Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. Thick Basic White Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” and
cut at 1 ¼” from both the top & bottom
Flirty Flamingo Marbled Cardbase – Kit
White Cardbase (back half for stamping) – Kit
Real Red Heart Die Cut – Kit
Foil Stickers – Kit
3 White Hearts in a Row (6 in each row) - Kit
Tiny Heart Embellishments
1- Cut the cardbase into three panels making sure to stop at the score line. Cut the top and bottom at 1 ¼”.
2- Cut the Flirty Flamingo Marbled Cardbase in half at 4 ¼”. Save one half for a future alternative card. On the other half trim down to 4 1/8”. Then rotate and cut two 1” sections & one 2 7/8” section. Keep the leftover pieces for a future card.
Add the Flirty Flamingo Marbled pieces to the sections on the cardbase.
3- Adhere the top & bottom panels to the inside of the card – if you want to create a tuck space in the bottom panel only add adhesive around the outside edge.
4- Add the three 6 White Hearts in a Row to the center of the card with dimensionals or glue dots, whichever you prefer.
5- Add the Real Red Heart over the White Hearts with dimensionals. Add one Foil Sticker to the middle of the Real Red Heart, I used the outline one.
6- Cut a 3/8” x 3” strip from the White Cardbase (back half) and stamp your greeting in Real Red. If you want to use a different greeting cut a larger strip. Add this over the Real Red Heart.
7- Add 3 Tiny Heart Embellishments around the greeting.
