Use The Mask From Yesterday's Card - December 2024 Paper Pumpkin Alternative - Stampin' Up!

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Today I continue sharing my beautiful alternative card ideas you can make with supplies from the December 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Notes From The Heart

The cards this month are beautifully simple scalloped edges cards with gorgeous large die cuts. They are perfect to make to send a quick note to friends and family. If you would like to watch me unbox the kit and make the original cards visit this playlist -

This is the second alternative card I will be sharing with you this week. Today we will be using the vellum from yesterday’s card, so if you haven’t seen that video make sure to watch it to find out how we added color & text to the vellum.

I have also added some cute flowers from the Heart Shaped Dies which is a Sale-a-bration item this year. The Die Set is Bundled with the coordinating Heart Shaped Stamp Set which you can get for free with an order of $120.

If you are a paper pumpkin subscriber, think about ordering a 6-month prepaid subscription between Jan 7 & Feb 28, which would qualify you for this free SAB item.

Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store. A full supply list is below or on my blog – www.creativechelsey.com

I also want to mention the amazing perks you can receive when you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me as your demonstrator. With every Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set & Ink Spot sent, I design a card and mail out my very own card kit to my subscribers so they can make two of my exclusive card design. These cards so fun and show new ways to use stamps & ink. We also meet once each month to make the card together, chat & have fun. *PLUS I have joined with other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators to design 8-10 more alternative ideas in a PDF Tutorial (includes photos & instructions). My subscribers receive this PDF Tutorial along with an Exclusively Designed Card Kit, all for FREE! If you would also like to receive this extra perk, sign up for paper pumpkin using the link below and make sure to select me as your demonstrator.

If you are interested in getting your own paper pumpkin subscription, please use this link to subscribe -  https://www.paperpumpkin.com/en-us/sign-up/?demoid=2042902

Balmy Blue Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Balmy Blue Cardstock – 4” x 5 ¼”

Petal Pink Cardstock – scrap for flower die cuts

Granny Apple Green Cardstock – scrap for leaf die cuts

Scallop Cardbase leftover piece – kit

Vellum Leaf Die Cut sprayed with blue ink – kit

Circle Label – kit

Flirty Flamingo Baker’s Twine – 16”

1- Emboss the Balmy Blue 4” x 5 ¼” with your choice of embossing folder. I used the retired Basics 3D Crosshatch design. Add to the center of the cardbase.

2- Cut the leftover Scallop Cardbase in half at 2 ¾” with the straight edge at the top of the paper trimmer. With the straight edges on the left & bottom splatter with a yellow ink, I used the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Marker.

3- Adhere with a couple glue dots the Blue Vellum Leaf Die Cut from yesterday’s card in the center of the Scallop piece with the straight edges on the left & bottom.

4- Wrap 16” of Coordinating Baker’s Twine around the bottom to hide the score line. Tie a bow on the right near the bottom of the Vellum Leaves. Add the Scallop piece to the embossed Balmy Blue piece with the left & bottom edges matching. I added glue to the straight edges and a dimensional or two to the scallop edges.

5- Stamp your greeting on the Circle Label from the kit in a coordinating color, I used Flirty Flamingo. Add it on the left side of the bow with dimensionals.

6- Cut 3-5 Small Flowers from Petal Pink Cardstock and 3-5 Leaves from Granny Apple Green using a die cut or punch. I used the Sale-a-bration Item – Heart Shaped Bundle (available Jan 7, 2025 – February 28, 2025).

7- Add a small dot of Flirty Flamingo Dark Blend Marker to the center of each flower then blend out with the Light Marker. Add to the card with a Mini Dimensional. Tuck the Leaves next to the flowers.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step.
