The cards this month are beautifully simple scalloped edges cards with gorgeous large die cuts. They are perfect to make to send a quick note to friends and family. If you would like to watch me unbox the kit and make the original cards visit this playlist - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL40dV1oxpkNnioYqEkJBHi8pkYbS_nrGp
This is the fifth alternative card I will be sharing with you this week. I do love the Scallop Cardbases from the kit and wanted to use a whole one for this last alternative. I love how it frames the card. The beautiful Blackberry Die Cut sits on top of ripped envelope and a soft pink background. I love the sweetness of this card.
Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store. Scallop Cardbase – kt
Bubble Bath Cardstock – 4” x 5”
Large Berry Die Cut – kit
Envelope Back Piece – kit
Gold Ribbon – 5”
1- Use a Coordinating Marker to splatter ink over the Bubble Bath Cardstock. I used Pretty In Pink.
2- Trim the Envelope sides down to 4”. Then cut off ½” strip from the bottom. Tear the top (curved edge) off the larger piece. Flip it upside down and adhere behind the larger piece so you have two torn edges stacked. Tear one side off the ½” strip and adhere it behind the other two torn edges, for a three layer look. Add this to the bottom of the Bubble Bath piece.
3- Wrap 5” of Gold Ribbon across this piece under the torn edges. Adhere the ends to the back.
4- Add the Large Berry Die Cut with dimensionals to the right side.
5- Stamp your greeting in the space above the torn edges and
to the left of the Berries in Blackberry Bliss ink.
6- Add everything to your Scalloped Cardbase with dimensionals. The Bubble Bath piece should meet up with the scored edge, giving the top, right & bottom a nice scallop border.
7- Add 3 Gold Sparkle Gems.
All Done!
I have also created a video walking you through each step.
