Crafting A Winter Wonderland - A Great Alternative Card Using October 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey.

'Tis the season to get creative, and what better way to celebrate the holidays than by handcrafting beautiful cards that reflect the festive spirit? This week I am using the supplies from the October 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Home For The Holidays to design a stunning collection of alternative handmade cards. Make sure to keep coming back to see all 5 ideas. With the charming Christmas scenes, this kit has provided endless inspiration.

For today’s card I incorporated some die cut shapes to give the pieces from the kit a different look. And piecing together a new greeting from the stamps that came in the kit.

1- Begin by stamping the dot pattern in Mossy Meadow or Old Olive ink about ¼” from the edge of the cardbase. I didn’t stamp on the edge because I wanted just a hint of texture in the back.

2- Layer the Soft Sea Foam piece in the center at an angle.

3- Add the Stripe Vellum piece on top at an opposing angle. Place the adhesive in an area that will be covered by the other elements.

4- Cut out a large 3” Circle from Balmy Blue Cardstock. Add a little darker ink along the outside edge, with a Blending Brush and Night of Navy ink.

5- Cut from the Two House Die Cut the same size circle. Make sure both houses are inside the circle. Save the two tree on the right side that did not make it in the circle. We will be using these for card #5.

Layer the Houses over the circle matching the sides.

6- Add this to the center bottom left area of the cardbase with dimensionals.

7- On some scrap white piece from the kit, stamp your greetings in Real Red. I used both the “Merry Christmas” and “Wonder & Joy”. Fussy cut out the words you want. Add with some on the circle and some off near the bottom of the card. Use dimensionals as needed.

8- Fold the Real Red Ribbon in half and adhere to the top right corner of the cardbase. Tie the White Baker’s Twine around the ribbon and make a bow. Trim the ends to an angle.

9- Add Glitter Glue to the roofs.

All Done!
