Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my second alternative idea using the January 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Key To My Heart.
This kit comes with everything you need to make 9 Valentines Day Theme Greeting Cards, 3 in three different designs. This kit is filled with so many fun images & patterns. I like how the lock & key idea is unique and different than the typical Valentines Hearts.
What I like to do
is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create
different or alternative projects. Today I am sharing my new favorite card layout
made with the products from this kit.
If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.
It is Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. This is the second alternative this week. If you would like to see all my alternatives check out the playlist here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL40dV1oxpkNmLe3LGMiRAXl4fVePLfSnp

1- Cut the Fresh Freesia Cardbase in half at 4 ¼” to separate the front from the back. From the back cut a piece that is 3 ¼” x 4 1/8”. Save the leftover piece for a future alternative card. Layer it on top of the 3 3/8” x 4 ¼” Calypso Coral piece.
2- Cut the front of the Petal Pink Cardbase with the
crosshatch design (leftover piece from alternative card #1) to 2 ¾” x 3 5/8” –
save the extra for another alternative card. Add to the center of the Fresh Freesia
piece with dimensionals.
3- Add all these pieces in the center of the cardbase.
4- Stamp & heat with white embossing powder a
greeting on the ½” Calypso Coral strip. Add it about ½” from the bottom of the
Petal Pink piece with dimensionals.
5- Add the Calypso Coral Lock and a Gold Key to the center above the greeting with dimensionals. Angle them towards the center overlapping a little.
6- Add a glue dot to the area where they meet. Tie a bow with 8” of twine from the kit. Add it to the glue dot.
All Done!
