Hey There Pumpkin - September 2021 Paper Pumpkin Alternative with the Cutest Halloween Stamp Set

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my third alternative card ideas using the September 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Haunts & Harvest. This kit comes with everything you need to make 12 super cute fall themed treat boxes. What I like to do is that those supplies and with a couple things from my craft space, turn them into cards.

This fun card also uses another stamp set from the Holiday Mini called Cutest Halloween. I wanted something to go with the Hey There Pumpkin greeting and love these cute little pumpkins. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! You can tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com. I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit

1- Separate some of the sections from the treat boxes from the kit to get about 4 different patterns. Stamp the outline pumpkin image from the Cutest Halloween Set in Soft Suede in the center of each section. Punch out with coordinating punch.

2- On scrap white cardstock stamp 3 more pumpkin in coordinating colors. I did one of each combo (outline/inside): Soft Suede/Pale Papaya – stamped off then on, Pale Papaya/Pale Papaya – stamped off then on, Pumpkin Pie/Pumpkin Pie – stamped off then on (see alternative #2 for technique). Punch out with coordinating punch.

3- Add your choice of woodgrain DSP to the front of the cardbase. Emboss the white cardstock with the Timber Embossing Folder. From the 4 different sections remove the curved tops, if they are not all the same size, trace and cut so they all match. Add these in a row to the back of the embossed white cardstock at the bottom to create a scalloped edge. Trim off any excess. Add the whole thing to the center of the cardbase with dimensionals.

4- Add the Cork strip to the bottom just above the scallops and cut the right edge at an angle. Stamp the veins inside two leaf die cuts from the kit and add near the Cork strip.

5- Stamp the greeting “Hey There Pumpkin” in Soft Suede on a tag from the kit and adhere at and angle between the two leaves. Tie a bow with 10” Linen Thread and adhere to the tag.

6- Arrange the pumpkins in the open space above the greeting. Use dimensionals on some for depth.

All Done!
