Two for One Alternative Cards with a Fun Angle | Paper Pumpkin Kit June 2020 - Box of Sunshine

Today I would like to share with you my second alternative project using the June 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Box of Sunshine. Today’s card is a two for one using the supplies in the kit plus a couple extra pieces of cardstock. I really love the unique look that these cards have from the different angles made by layering the cardstocks on top of each other. I hope you enjoy this tutorial. I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more videos as I continue to create with this month’s kit. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! Here are the dimensions and pieces you will need to create these cards:
From the Kit:
Gold Stripe Cardbase 1” x 4 ¼”
Crushed Curry Watercolor Cardbase (see cutting directions below)
Pineapple & Sun Die Cuts
Black and White Dotted Sticker Strip

Extra Cardstock:
Pool Party Cardstock card base 4.25” x 11” scored at 5.5”
Shaded Spruce or Poppy Parade Cardstock ¾” x 4 ½”
Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon 9”

Here is a list of the supplies I used to make the cards:
Pool Party Cardstock 122924 $8.75
Poppy Parade Cardstock 119793 $8.75
Shaded Spruce Cardstock 146981 $8.75
Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon 151326 $7.50
Wink of Stella Glitter Brush 141897 $8.00
Paper Trimmer 152392 $25.00
Simply Shammy 147042 $8.00
Snail Adhesive 104332 $7.00
Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755 $4.00
Dimensionals 104430 $4.00
Clear Block D 118485 $8.50
Paper Snips 103579 $10.00
Bone Folder 102300 $7.00
Stampin' Pierce Mat 126199 $5.00
Take Your Pick Tool 144107 $10.00

1- Cut the cardbase from the kit. To cut the Crushed Curry Watercolor cardbase, remove the front from the back. Measure 1 ½” from the bottom left corner and 2 ½” from the bottom right corner. Cut along the line connecting these two points. On the top piece cut 1 ½” off the straight side so you have 2 pieces that are the same size and shape. (Keep the white back piece of the cardbase for stamping)
2- Add the Gold Stripe piece to the bottom of the Pool Party Cardbase. Add the Shaded Spruce or Poppy Parade Cardstock to the angled side of the Crushed Curry Watercolor piece. Place it so the left side is larger than the right side, add these pieces to the cardbase above the gold stripe piece.
3- Place one Black and White sticker strip either over the seam between the yellow and gold pieces or in the middle of the yellow piece.
4- On the back of the die cut piece adhere the whisper white ribbon back and forth in a “z” shape. Place this on the card with dimensionals. If using the sun die cut add some Wink of Stella to the center for a little extra bling.
5- Cut the white back from the cardbase to a 9/16” wide strip and stamp “Hello” in Basic Black ink. Then trim down the sides. On the other piece stamp “Sunshine” and fussy cut. Add these to your card. Place 3 sequins on your card.
All Done!
