Stampin Up Above the Clouds Stamp Set and Punch | Graduation or Congratulations Handmade Card

Today I have for you a fun handmade graduation card using the Above the Clouds Stamp Set and coordinating Hot Air Balloon Punch. I love the bright colors of both cards and how easy it is to change the colors to make it appeal to the person receiving the card. The techniques used on this card are simple and make it easy to replicate. Hope you enjoy this tutorial.

I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! You can tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com

1- On the cardbase create a watercolor wash over the top 2/3rds with a darker color ink and the aqua painter. Let dry a little and then add some splattering. Let dry completely and then stamp the banner randomly over the watercolor wash. I placed some in the top left corner and some in the bottom right area over the watercolor wash.
2- On the Balmy Blue cardstock, stamp the clouds in Bermuda Bay ink and the small hot air balloons outline in Memento Black on the right side of the strip, then stamp the fill in color in the same ink color as the watercolor wash.
3- Stamp the large hot air balloon in Memento Black on Whisper White cardstock. Use the aqua painter and add color to the sections. I used the same color as the watercolor wash plus Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay (coordinate with the other colors in the card). Punch out with coordinating punch. Stamp the outline banner image in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock, stamp the inside triangles in Crushed Curry. Fussy cut out and adhere over the mid-line on the hot air balloon.
4- Stamp the greeting in Memento Black on the ½” Whisper White strip in the center and cut small flap shapes from each end. Stamp the basket in black on Whisper White cardstock and punch out with coordinating punch.
5- Add the Bermuda Bay stripe ribbon about ¼” from the top and bottom of the Crushed Curry Cardstock. Add this to the center of the watercolor wash on the cardbase.
6- Add the “sky” with dimensionals to the center of the crushed curry cardstock. Make sure the ribbon is peaking out on the top and bottom.
7- Add the large hot air balloon with dimensionals on the left side in the “Sky”.
8- Add the greeting with dimensionals in the bottom right corner of the “sky”.
9- Add the basket with a dimensionals under the balloon.
All Done!
