Paper Piecing Technique In Any Color - Last Alternative Card Idea for August 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Over the last week I have shared some great card ideas you can make with from the August 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Farmhouse Florals.

The cards in this kit have beautiful floral mixed with farmhouse images like a window pane, basket & typewriter. I love the simplicity of these cards and wanted to carry it into my alternatives as well.  The kit makes a total of 9 cards 3 of three different designs with coordinating envelopes.

Today I am sharing with you my seventh and last alternative project. This card uses the paper piecing technique with the pattern paper from the envelope and stamps and create a distressed pattern on our last piece of cardbase from the kit. You can recreate this card using any color scheme you choose.

If you would like to watch me unbox the kit and make the original cards visit this playlist -  https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL40dV1oxpkNlmD-ZYmLZXnqpRLnwKNAyi

Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store. A full supply list is below.

I also want to mention the amazing perks you can receive when you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me as your demonstrator. With every Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set & Ink Spot sent, I design a card and mail out my very own card kit to my subscribers so they can make two of my exclusive card design. These cards so fun and show new ways to use stamps & ink. We also meet once each month to make the card together, chat & have fun.

*PLUS I have joined with other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators to design 7-10 more alternative ideas in a PDF Tutorial (includes photos & instructions). My subscribers receive this PDF Tutorial along with an Exclusively Designed Card Kit, all for FREE! If you would also like to receive this extra perk, sign up for paper pumpkin using the link below and make sure to select me as your demonstrator.

Bubble Bath Cardstock – scrap for die cut

Typewriter Cardbase – 3-3/4” x 5” plain side

1- Make sure to use the Cutting Guide (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w8SVMCWiI6t93VmcuvO6yF5Ua8c34ucH/view?usp=sharing) to cut your pattern paper to the right size from the cardbases in the kit.

2- Randomly stamp the long pattern image all over the 3-3/4" x 5” Plain Cardbase piece in Petunia Pop after stamping off first to get a lighter color.

Layer the Petunia Pop Cardstock at an angle in the center of the cardbase. Add the stamped piece on top.

3- Cut out the Circle from the Circle of Season Dies in Bubble Bath. Adhere it in the center.

4- Stamp the Teapot in Secret Sea on the Envelope flap and cut out (no border). Stamp the Teapot in Secret Sea on the Envelope Paper and fussy cut out (with border). Adhere the Pattern Teapot inside the white teapot. Add to the bottom left area of the Bubble Bath circle with dimensionals.

5- Stamp the Flowers in Garden Green and fussy cut out (with border). Stamp the Flowers in Berry Burst & Petunia Pop. Fussy cut out flowers from each color and adhere them over the Garden Green flowers. Add this above the Teapot on the Card with dimensionals.

6- Stamp your greeting on the 1/4" strip in Secret Sea. Add to the right of the Teapot with dimensionals.

7- Tie a small bow with 10” of Linen Thread and adhere in the bottom right corner of the greeting or near the Teapot.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step.
