June 2025 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives - Use Blending To Add Fun Colors Behind The Flower Die

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Today I begin sharing beautiful Alternate Card Ideas you can make with supplies from the June 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Full of Charm.

The cards in this kit have beautiful floral images mixed with gold accents.  There are so many fun images to play around with and create a lot of alternative cards. The kit makes a total of 9 cards 3 of three different designs with coordinating envelopes.

For my first alternative I am using the blending brushes to color in the area behind the die cut. This gives me the chance to switch up the colors to work for an occasion.

If you would like to watch me unbox the kit and make the original cards visit this playlist -  https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL40dV1oxpkNkVAyXFAqFtnLYpeVtfUA6g

Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store.

I also want to mention the amazing perks you can receive when you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me as your demonstrator. With every Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set & Ink Spot sent, I design a card and mail out my very own card kit to my subscribers so they can make two of my exclusive card design. These cards so fun and show new ways to use stamps & ink. We also meet once each month to make the card together, chat & have fun.

*PLUS I have joined with other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators to design 7-10 more alternative ideas in a PDF Tutorial (includes photos & instructions). My subscribers receive this PDF Tutorial along with an Exclusively Designed Card Kit, all for FREE! If you would also like to receive this extra perk, sign up for paper pumpkin using the link below and make sure to select me as your demonstrator.

Petal Pink Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Textured Gold Foil Cardbase – kit

Large Floral Die Cut – kit

Pretty Peacock Cardstock – 1” x 4”

Basic White Cardstock – 1 ¼” x 1 ½”

Gold Sequins – kit

Pencil with eraser

1- Cut the Textured Gold Foil Cardstock from the kit at 4” to remove one side from the whole. Rotate and cut again at 4 ¼”.

2- Trim the solid leaves and small flowers from the Large Floral Die Cut leaving only the open flowers and leaves. When trimming try to keep the same thickness around the open images.

3- Lay the Large Floral Die Cut with the white side up on the 4” x 4 ¼” Textured Gold Foil piece and lightly trace the outside edges of each flower and leaf so you can see the shapes while you are adding color.

4- Remove the Large Floral Die Cut and add color to each shape with your choice of ink and blending brushes. I used Daffodil Delight, Timid Tiger & Berry Burst for the flowers & Mossy Meadow with a touch of Pretty Peacock. Add as much color as you want to get a good contract between the color and white from the die cut.

5- Adhere the Large Floral Die Cut back over the blended area with glue dots.

6- Add the Small 4” x 1 ¼” Textured Gold Foil piece to the bottom of the cardbase with an even border on Left, Bottom & Right sides.

7- Cut a decorative edge with any die cut in Pretty Peacock Cardstock (or you can tear the cardstock to get a rough edge). Adhere to the bottom edge of the 4” x 4 ¼” piece. Add the floral blended piece to the top of the cardbase, keeping the same border all the way around.

8- Stamp your greeting in Pretty Peacock on the Basic White piece and trim the bottom into a flag shape. Add to the right edge with dimensionals.

9- Add 3 Gold Sequins.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step.
