Two Ways To Create Three-Layer Flowers - Alternative Card Ideas using the April 2025 Inked Occasions

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Thanks for joining me today as I share some beautiful card ideas you can make with the April 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Inked Occasions.

The cards in this kit are beautiful with blended alcohol ink and gold foil accents. They are perfect for an occasion.

This is the second set of alternative card ideas I will be sharing with you this week. These two cards use the coordinating Hugs Abloom Dies as accents to the beautiful blended alcohol ink paper from the kit to create stunning cards. I love the little details on these cards and can’t wait to share how I made them with you.

If you would like to watch me unbox the kit and make the original cards visit this playlist -

Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store. A full supply list is below or on my blog –
www.creativechelsey.com

I also want to mention the amazing perks you can receive when you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me as your demonstrator. With every Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set & Ink Spot sent, I design a card and mail out my very own card kit to my subscribers so they can make two of my exclusive card design. These cards so fun and show new ways to use stamps & ink. We also meet once each month to make the card together, chat & have fun.

*PLUS I have joined with other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators to design 7-10 more alternative ideas in a PDF Tutorial (includes photos & instructions). My subscribers receive this PDF Tutorial along with an Exclusively Designed Card Kit, all for FREE! If you would also like to receive this extra perk, sign up for paper pumpkin using the link below and make sure to select me as your demonstrator.

If you are interested in getting your own paper pumpkin subscription, please use this link to subscribe -  https://www.stampinup.com/products/paper-pumpkin-subscription/?demoid=2042902

Card #1

Pretty In Pink Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Fresh Freesia Cardstock – scraps

Gorgeous Grape Cardstock – scraps

Peach Pie Cardstock – scraps

Pretty In Pink Cardstock – scraps

Berry Burst Cardstock – scraps

White Baker’s Twine – 20”

Alcohol Ink along top & bottom Cardbase – Kit

Rounded Corners Label – Kit

1- Splatter the front of the Pretty In Pink Cardbase with Berry Burst ink – I used a Stampin’ Write Marker, but you can also use ink from the Stampin’ Spot and a little water mixed with a Paint Brush.

2- Cut the Alcohol Ink along top & bottom Cardbase in half at 4 ¼”. From one side (front or back) cut again in half at 2 ¾”. Use the piece with less color for card #2. Round the corners of the piece with more color then add to the center of the cardbase.

3- Trace the Die Cut Flower from the Hugs Abloom on Fresh Freesia and Pretty In Pink. Fussy cut out on the inside of the line so the shape is smaller.

4- Add Adhesive Sheet to the back of the scrap cardstock pieces in Gorgeous Grape, Peach Pie, & Berry Burst. Cut out the Die Cut Flower from the Hugs Abloom Dies: 1 – Gorgeous Grape & Berry Burst, 2 – Peach Pie.

5- Add the Gorgeous Grape Flower on top of the Fresh Freesia back. Trim around the center of the Peach Pie flower and add to the center of the Purple Flower. Repeat with the Berry Burst on Pretty In Pink, with Peach Pie center.

6- Stamp your greeting in the Rounded Corner Label from the Kit. I used I’m Here For You in Berry Burst ink. Separate 20” of Baker’s Twine into two pieces (or you can use the leftover piece from the first alternative card). Create a double bow and adhere to the back of the greeting with Tear & Tape. Add to the right white area with dimensionals.

7- Ad the Flowers next to the greeting with dimensionals.

All Done!

Card #2

Fresh Fressia Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Gorgeous Grape Cardstock – scraps

Basic White Cardstock – scraps

Pretty In Pink Cardstock – scraps

Berry Burst Cardstock – scraps

Silver Foil Sheet – ½” x 4 ¼”

Light Color Cardbase – Kit

Large Plants Die Cut – Kit

1- Splatter the front of the Fresh Fressia Cardbase with Gorgeous Grape ink – I used a Stampin’ Write Marker. Stamp the Small Butterflies in Gorgeous Grape ink in the corners.

2- Add the ½” Silver Foil Strip to the White Side of the 2 ¾” x 4 ¼” Cardstock piece. Add to the center of the Cardbase with dimensionals.

3- Trace the Die Cut Flower from the Hugs Abloom on Berry Burst, Gorgeous Grape and Pretty In Pink. Fussy cut out on the inside of the line so the shape is smaller.

4- Add Adhesive Sheet to the back of the scrap cardstock pieces in Gorgeous Grape, Pretty In Pink, & Berry Burst. Cut out one Die Cut Flower from the Hugs Abloom Dies in each color. Add them to the top of each Bottom piece in the same color.

5- Remove the three Tall Flowers from the Large Row of Plants Die Cuts. Trim off any areas to keep as much as you can along the Strip of Plants.

6- Add the top of the Tall Flowers to the Center of each flower with a glue dot. Add these to the center piece in the White area.

7- Cut out White Leaves using the Leaf Die from the Hugs Abloom Set, separate and tuck under the flowers.

8- Cut out the Label from the Hugs Abloom Dies in Basic White Cardstock. Add beneath the Flowers with dimensionals.

9- Add Adhesive Sheet to the back of Berry Burst Cardstock and cut out Hugs from the Hugs Abloom Dies. Add to the left side of the Label.

10- Cut a 5/16” Strip from Basic White Cardstock and stamp your greeting in Gorgeous Grape ink. Trim down to fit. Add to the bottom right corner with dimensionals.

11- Add little white dots to the inside of the Die Cut Flowers.

All Done!
