Designing With Leftover Scraps - February 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit "Hello Spring" - Stampin' Up!

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Over the past couple days, I have shared some great card ideas you can make with the contents in this month’s kit. Today I am sharing with you my fifth and last set of alternative ideas using the February 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Hello Spring

The cards this month are perfect for Spring, with images of Herbs and soft blues, greens & pinks.

These cards use up some of the leftover scraps to create beautiful cards.

If you would like to watch me unbox the kit and make the original cards visit this playlist -  https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL40dV1oxpkNn3uZadkWjCmO0DXa_N2BHf

Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store. A full supply list is below or on my blog –
www.creativechelsey.com

I also want to mention the amazing perks you can receive when you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me as your demonstrator. With every Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set & Ink Spot sent, I design a card and mail out my very own card kit to my subscribers so they can make two of my exclusive card design. These cards so fun and show new ways to use stamps & ink. We also meet once each month to make the card together, chat & have fun. *PLUS I have joined with other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators to design 8-10 more alternative ideas in a PDF Tutorial (includes photos & instructions). My subscribers receive this PDF Tutorial along with an Exclusively Designed Card Kit, all for FREE! If you would also like to receive this extra perk, sign up for paper pumpkin using the link below and make sure to select me as your demonstrator.

If you are interested in getting your own paper pumpkin subscription, please use this link to subscribe -  https://www.paperpumpkin.com/en-us/sign-up/?demoid=2042902

Card #1

Bubble Bath Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Basic White Cardstock - scraps

Envelope Scraps - Kit

Basic Beige Label: Small – Kit

Blue Cardbase Scraps – Kit

1- Stamp the Background Pattern Design in Petunia Pop using the Stamp Off – Stamp On Technique to get a lighter color randomly on the cardbase. Focus on areas around the layout of the different pieces.

2- Cut any Blue Cardbase Scraps to 1 ½” x 4” (save at least ¼” x 4” for card #2). Add this a little lower than center of the cardbase. Add the Basic Beige Label a little to the left of center.

3- Stamp your greeting in Early Espresso ink on Basic White Cardstock. Cut out with the Label from The Love Of Spring Dies or another decorative label shape. Add to the Basic Beige Label with dimensionals.

4- Cut out with any Leaf Shape, I used the one from The Love Of Spring Dies, from the Envelope Scraps. Tuck under the greeting. Use as many as you would like.

5- Stamp 5-6 Flower images in Petunia Pop 1st & 2nd Generation. Cut out with coordinating dies. Add around the leaves with dimensionals.

6- Add 3-5 Pink Sequins.

All Done!

Card #2

Bubble Bath Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Basic White Cardstock - scraps

Basic Beige Cardbase Scraps - Kit

Blue Cardbase Scraps – Kit

Green Angled Piece – Kit

1- Stamp the Background Pattern Design in Petunia Pop using the Stamp Off – Stamp On Technique to get a lighter color randomly on the cardbase. Focus on areas around the layout of the different pieces.

2- Cut the Basic Beige Cardbase scrap to 2 ½” x 4”.

3- Stamp 5 Chives in Old Olive and cut out with coordinating die. Add at different levels to the Basic Beige Cardbase piece. Trim off any overhang along the bottom.

4- Layer the ¼” x 4” Blue Cardbase strip along the bottom over the Chives.

5- Stamp your greeting in Early Espresso ink and cut out with the Label from The Love Of Spring Dies. I used a partial die cutting technique to get a smaller size. To do this: slide the greeting to one side of the die and cut out the whole thing. Then slide the greeting to the other side of the die, make sure it fits inside any design (like stitching) – it will lock in place. Run through your machine with the top plate only covering the area you want to cut, leave the already cut area uncovered. See video for details.

6- Add your greeting over the Green Angled Piece and then place near the bottom of the Chives with dimensionals.

7- Stamp 6 Flowers, I did two in Petunia Pop 1st, & two in 2nd Generation, Two in Lost Lagoon. Cut out with coordinating die. Add around the Chives with dimensionals.

8- Add everything to the cardbase and add 3-5 Pink Sequins

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step.
