A Simple Variation To The March 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit With Blending Technique - Stampin' Up! Alternative Cards

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my first alternative idea using the March 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Ten Years Of Growth.

This beautiful kit creates 9 handmade cards. There are enough supplies to make three of each card. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative projects. Today I am sharing a simple variation to the intended card. By adding a little color to the window frame, it makes the die cut images & greeting pop.

If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

It is Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. This is the first alternative this week. If you would like to see all my alternatives check out the playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL40dV1oxpkNmRa3CHQJOjEI3s_XvrzBRi

1- Fold the Window Cardbase from the kit in half and trim off 3/8” from each side. This will give you two pieces that are 3 ½” x 5 ½”.

2- Use a Blending Brush to add Fresh Freesia ink to the bottom left corner of the Window. Use a second Blending Brush to add Orchid Oasis above the Fresh Freesia in the Window. Add this to the center of the cardbase.

3- Add Dimensionals to the Large White Pot Die Cut from the kit. Place it to the left of the window sill

4- Add Glue Dots to the back of the Single Coastal Cabana Branch Die Cut and tuck it into the Pot on the right side.

5- Cut Mini Dimensionals in half and add them to the back of the Large Gold Foil Branch. Tuck it into the Pot on the left side.

6- Stamp your greeting in Polished Pink on a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock. Cut to fit the greeting.

Trim ¼” from the edge of the “happy” gold foil leftover piece and add it to the bottom of the greeting. Trim off to fit.

7- Add a faux bow with 10” of Gold Trim to the bottom left corner of the greeting.

8- Add dimensionals to the right side of the greeting. Place over the Pot slightly.

9- On the inside of the card. Add the back of the cardbase 3 ½” x 5 ½” to the center.

10- Trim off the bottom leaves from the branch.

11- Add glue dots to the Fern Die Cut and Orchid Oasis Pot & tuck the branch inside the pot.

12- Add the extra leaves to the base at a slight angle. Place this in the bottom left corner of the inside piece.

All Done!
