Use The Leftover Scraps from the February 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit To Make This Alternative Card Idea

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my fourth alternative idea using the February 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Safari Celebration.

This kit comes with everything you need to make 9 Fun Safari Cards, 3 in three different designs. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative cards. Today I am sharing a card idea using the leftover pieces or scraps from my other projects. I love creating alternative projects with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit.

If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

1- Choose coordinating scrap pieces and add them to your cardbase. You can use large or small pieces and as many as you would like.

2- Stamp the splatter image in Rich Razzleberry on the pattern paper.

3- Add a vellum piece to the center of the card. I did cut mine in half and placed the cut along the seam between the two patterns.

4- Flag the ends of the ½” x 3” Soft Suede strip and add to the center of the vellum.

5- Fussy cut around the overprinted color on the leftover paper after you remove the leaf dies. Layer these on the vellum and around the Soft Suede strip with any leaf die cut you may have.

6- Stamp the leaf image in a couple coordinating colors, I used Soft Succulent, Pear Pizzazz, and Rich Razzleberry. Fussy cut out and layer on top of the die cuts.

7- Stamp your greeting on the circle from the kit in Rich Razzleberry. Add to the center of everything with dimensionals.

8- Tie a bow with 10” of White Baker’s Twine and attach on the right side of the greeting. Add embellishments.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step and some of the details from the other cards:

  1. Love this alternative! Upon receiving this box I thought it was adorable but I was limited on who I would make them for. Not anymore! This card removed the boundaries for me. This card is now on my display stand!
