Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card Idea with the November 2020 Kit - Jolly Gingerbread from Stampin Up

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today is my second alternative project using the November 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Jolly Gingerbread. When I design my alternative projects I try and keep the extra supplies to a minimum so paper crafters of all levels can enjoy making these cards. Today’s card are simple yet stunning with the color combination of Mint Macaron and Shaded Spruce.

I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more tutorials as I continue to create with this month’s kit. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! 1- Stamp the scroll designs on the front house die cuts in Blushing Bride ink.

2- Attach some Daffodil Delight cardstock to the back of the star cut out at the top. Add the Shimmery Crystal Effects to the top inside the star shape. Set aside to dry.

3- Stamp the medium scroll image along the edge of the Shaded Spruce cardstock, I used the Blushing Bride Ink from the kit. Start on the 3 ¼” side and stamp in the middle. The long edge of the image should be along the edge of the cardstock. Turn the cardstock and stamp at a 90 degree angle to the first image. The stamp will sit just a little lower than the cardstock. Repeat on the other side. Then follow the same steps for the top of the cardstock. To fill in the small gap left on the 4 ½” side use one of the small scroll designs. Repeat on other Shaded Spruce cardbase.

4- For card #1, warp 16” of Whisper White ribbon around the Shaded Spruce cardstock and tie a bow on the right side. Then adhere it to the center of the cardbase.

For card #2 adhere the Shaded Spruce cardstock to the cardbase with no ribbon.

5- Trim off the flap of one gingerbread card, then cut the two houses in half. Add one to each cardbase in the center of the Shaded Spruce cardstock. For card #1 Add the front house die cut to the gingerbread house with dimensionals.

For card #2- Stamp and color a Gingerbread house using a blender pen and coordinating colors, see supply list above and below technique video for details. Then fussy cut and add to the center of the gingerbread die-cut with dimensionals.

6- Stamp the greeting on the label or Whisper White ½” strip. Punch ends of strip with the Banner Pick-a-Punch to give it a banner look. Attach the greetings to the cards with dimensionals.

For card #2- tie a bow with 10” of ribbon and adhere it to the top of the gingerbread die-cut with a glue dot.

All Done!
