February 2025 Hello Spring Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card Ideas - Designing With Sections

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Today I continue sharing beautiful Alternate Card Ideas you can make with supplies from the February 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Hello Spring.

The cards this month are perfect for Spring, with images of Herbs and soft blues, greens & pinks.

This is the fourth set of alternative card ideas I will be sharing with you this week. These two designs use sections or panels to create unique card layouts. I love how they turn out.

If you would like to watch me unbox the kit and make the original cards visit this playlist -

Card #1

Soft Sea Foam Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Lost Lagoon Cardstock – ½” x 5 ½” & 3/8” x 2 ½”

Green Herb Half Cardbase – Kit

Mint Label – Kit

Blue Cardbase Scraps - Kit

1- Cut ¼” from the Front Right Edge of the Soft Sea Foam Cardbase. Add the ½” Lost Lagoon Strip to the Inside Right Edge, so you can see it from the front when the cardbase is closed.

2- Cut the Green Herb Cardbase into Two 1 ¾” x 5 ½” Strips. Then rotate each strip and cut into Three 1 ¾” Squares. You should have a total of Six Squares. Add each square in any direction on the front of the cardbase with even spacing.

TIP: I like to start with the top and bottom. Place them along the top & bottom edges of the cardbase. Then use the middle each to even out the spacing.

3- Add the Mint Label with dimensionals anywhere you like.

4- Cut the Blue Cardbase Scrap to a 1 ½” x 1 ½” and stamp your greeting in Early Espresso ink. Trim down to fit around greeting. Add over the Mint Text on the Label with dimensionals & adhesive.

5- Angle the ends of the 3/8” Lost Lagoon Strip and tuck under the greeting.

6- Add any embellishments you want. I used the Neutral Matte Dots in White.

All Done!

Card #2

Crumb Cake Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Basic White Cardstock - scraps

Basic Beige Cardbase Half – Kit

Bubble Bath Ticket Label – Kit

1- Cut the Basic Beige Cardbase to 3” x 4”. Then separate into three strips. Two 1 ¼” x 3” and One 1 ½” x 3”.

2- Stamp your greeting in Early Espresso Ink on the right side of the Bubble Bath Ticket Label. Add to the bottom of the 1 ½” strip. Add this to the center of the cardbase with dimensionals.

3- Add the 1 ¼” pieces on top and one on bottom with dimensionals.

4- Stamp three Chives in Old Olive on Basic White Scraps and cut out with the coordinating Spring Is In The Air Dies.

5- Add one Chives to each section on the cardbase.

6- Stamp 7 Flowers in Petunia Pop or Fresh Freesia Ink. Cut out with coordinating Dies and add with dimensionals to the Chives.

All Done!

Sheetload Of Cards - March 2025 - Everyday Skies Designer Series Paper & FUN FOLD TWIST

Welcome to Creative Chelsey. Today, I am sharing my set of cards made with the March 2025 Sheetload Of Cards Template created by Alisha, of Call Me Crafty Al. Every month on the first she creates great templates which she shares on her YouTube Channel. You can get your template from her channel, the link is in the CREATIVE TEAM playlist link below.

Make sure to also see what everyone has created this month.

See the CREATIVE TEAM PLAYLIST here:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOjF4zwVYrxlirdn8iXi41HKpxSEypzEc

With the PDF instructions she provides you can make 8 Cards with 4 sheets of 6” x 6” pattern paper. I chose to use the Online Exclusive Everyday Skies Designer Series Paper. I love this pack of paper, there are 12 different sky patterns from Morning Sunrise, Afternoon Bright Sunny Day, Evening Sunset, and Night Starry Sky. On the other side of the paper are simple patterns that coordinate so nicely. This pack of paper is so versatile and I loved playing around with the design.

Along with the paper I also used the coordinating Everyday Arches Bundle. I love the beautiful sentiments and how they are designed around different sizes of arches. I really love how all the products work so well together.

As I was playing with this design I realized it worked so well with a “Z” Fun Fold Card Layout. So I modified the cardbase to create this easy fun fold. Get the scoring measurements below.

I love making cards using the Sheetload Template. I think these cards turned out so cute. I can’t wait to share them with my friends and family.

Fun Fold Measurements:

1- Start with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" cardbase.
2- Score at 4 1/4"
3- Score at 2 1/2"
4- Fold along score lines into a "Z" shape.
5- With the card folded up place back into your paper trimmer with the 2 1/2" panel at 4 1/4" then trim off the back of the card (about 3/4"). This will give you a card that will fit inside an envelope.
6- Add the pieces cut from the Sheetload Template.

Card #1

Basic Beige Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Bubble Bath Cardstock – 1” x 4”

Basic White Cardstock – 2” x 3” & scraps

Green Herb Cardbase – Kit

1- Splatter the cardbase with Early Espresso ink. I used the Stampin’ Write Marker.

2- Cut the Green Herb Cardbase from the Kit in half at 4 ¼”. Then rotate and cut 3”, save the 2 ½” piece for card #2. Add the 3” piece to the cardbase with about ½” space along the left & bottom edges.

3- Stamp your greeting in Early Espresso ink on the strip of Bubble Bath Cardstock on the right side. Tear the ends and add with dimensionals about 1” from the bottom of the cardbase.

4- On the 2” x 3” Basic White piece stamp the Chives in Old Olive on the right and left. Stamp a third one on scrap paper. Stamp the Chives Flower in Petunia Pop around the Chives, use 2nd Generation stamping to get a lighter tone. Stamp 3 more on scrap paper. Cut out using the coordinating dies.

5- Add the third Chives to the middle and Chives Flowers with dimensionals. Add to the left of the greeting with dimensionals.

6- Add 2-3 White Embellishments.

All Done!

Card #2

Thick Basic White Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Pool Party Cardstock – 3 ¾” x 3 ¾”

Green Herb Cardbase – Kit

Envelope Scraps – Kit

Linen Thread – 15”

1- Splatter Green ink over the Thick Basic White Cardbase.

2- Stamp the pattern image all over the Pool Party Cardstock in Pool Party ink. Use 1st, 2nd & 3rd Generation Stamping to give depth. Add this to the cardbase along the folded edge, giving it even space along the top & bottom.

3- Cut a shape from the 2 ½” x 4 ¼” Green Herb Cardbase, I used one of the Around It All Dies. Distress the edges of the shape.

4- Tie 15” of Linen Thread around the base and tie a bow. Add this to the cardbase with about ¼” space of Pool Party showing on the right side with dimensionals.

5- Distress the cut out shape. Stamp your greeting on the back (white side) in Early Espresso ink. Adhere it under the opening.

6- Cut out from the Envelope Scrap from the Basic Beige side with a leaf die or punch. I used the one from The Love Of Spring Dies. Tuck it under the Linen Thread, add dimensionals as you wish.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step.
