Another Shaker Card - Super Fun & Easy - Alternative Card Idea - July Paper Pumpkin - Stampin' Up!

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my seventh alternative idea using the July 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Fun In The Sun. Wow – This kit is making so many cards!

This fun & summery kit creates 9 handmade FUN FOLD cards. There are enough supplies to make three of each card. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative projects. Today I am sharing with you another Shaker Card with a Clear Envelope. This is Super Fun & Easy!

If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

1- Follow the template to cut the cardbase.

Step 1: Cut 2 ¼” from the top of the cardbase along the score line and through the left side of the cardbase.

Step 2: Cut 2” from the left. This will extend the existing cut line to the bottom.

Step 3 & 4: Cut the left and right sections to 5 ½” tall by removing the excess from the top of each section.

2- Score the Thick Basic White Cardbase at 2 ¼” from the left side and 2” from the right side. Fold along the score lines so the two sides meet near the middle, but they should not overlap.

3- Stamp your greeting in the top left corner of the sunset 2” strip in Azure Afternoon ink or another dark blue.

4- Take 18” of Linen Thread and wrap around the score line under the greeting. Tie a bow on the right side.

5- Cut an envelope from the kit to 2 ¼” x 5 ½” and add it to the cardbase on the left flap.

6- Add the Sunset Strip in the center of the Blue Envelope Flap with dimensionals.

7- Stamp the Starfish image in Crumb Cake ink along the score lines on the Sandy 3 ½” x 5 ½” piece. If you want to add any Splatter with a Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker you can.

8- Place the Sandy piece inside the Clear Envelope so it sits at the bottom and along one edge. Fold the excess to the back and adhere with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Add the Shaker Elements to the front and close the envelope with the flap to the back. Everything should be sealed inside.

9- Add the Shaker Element to the 2” flap on the Cardbase, by adding Tear & Tape to the left and right edges of the flap, then adding the Shaker element completely over the flap. If you want to cover the back of this flap on the inside of the cardbase you can do it.

10- Add the Starfish Die Cut with a dimensional on the Sunset Strip.

All Done!
