Heart Gate Fold Alternative Cards with the January 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit from Stampin' Up

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my second alternative idea using the January 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Kisses & Hugs.

This kit comes with everything you need to make 10 Heart Shaped Cards, 5 in two different designs. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative cards. Today I am sharing how you can change the cardbase from a tri-fold card to a gate fold card. I love creating alternative projects with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit.

If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com

1- On both the left & right hearts from the cardbase. Score right down the center by lining up the center point at the top & bottom with the cut line on your paper trimmer. Make sure to use your score blade and not cutting blade.

2- Fold the hearts along the score lines and use a bone folder to make a nice crease. Each side should meet in the center of the middle heart.

3- Add adhesive to the inside of the hearts to hold down the flaps.

4- Add wink of stella to the blushing bride or white heart. Let dry.

5- In the center of the white heart, stamp the outline heart image in Flirty Flamingo. Then the solid heart inside in Blushing Bride.

6- To get the arrow behind the heart. Use a ruler to mark a straight line on each side of the heart.

7- Ink up only the top part of the arrow and line it up with the pencil line, keeping the ink on the outside of the heart. Then stamp. For a walk through of this tip watch video below. Repeat for the bottom section of the arrow.

8- Cut from the leftover die cut paper a 3/8” x 2” or 3/8” x 1 ½” strip. Stamp the greeting in Gray Granite in the center. Add to the center of the heart with dimensionals.

9- Add the vellum heart to the left side flap on the cardbase.

10- Add the white heart in the center with dimensionals. Add some sequins.

I have also created a video walking you through each step and some of the details from the other cards:
