It is time for another tutorial for the Global Stampin’ Video Hop on YouTube. Each month on the fourth Friday Stampin’ Up Demonstrators from around the world come together and share their projects based on a monthly theme. November’s Theme is – Handmade Holiday Gifts. I am so excited to see what everyone creates.
Today I am sharing with you a Christmas Tag or Ornament Idea you can add to any holiday gift this year. This year I am going to attach this tag to a pack of greeting cards to give to my friends and neighbors. I make many cards as part of sharing tutorials on my blog and YouTube channel, so this is a wonderful way for me to share what I love with others.
You can use this tutorial as a base and then add any stamps and paper that you have on hand to create beautiful tags or ornaments like this.
I hope you are inspired today as you see all the holiday ideas from everyone while jumping from video to video. If you are inspired to make a project from something you see today please share it with us, we would love to see what you come up with. You can tag me @creativechelsey in any social media post.
Make sure to check out what everyone makes for this monthly Video Hop. You can start with my video, I have linked it below. You can find the next video at the top of the video’s description on YouTube. Have fun!

———————— Other Supplies ————————
• 6” x 12” Cello Bag –
• Clear Card Boxes
• Crop-A-Dile Heavy Duty Hole Punch
1- Use a 3” Circle Die or Trace an object to create a circle on chipboard. Cut out with heavy duty scissors.
2- Cover the top and bottom with pattern paper. I used the same 3” Circle Die to cut out two of the same size circles from the paper. Use liquid glue to adhere to the chipboard.
3- Use Fine Sandpaper to clean up the edges around the circle.
4- Add Liquid Glue around the edge of the circle with a Craft Brush. Let dry until tacky.
5- Add Gold Leafing to the glue and brush off excess.
6- Punch out a hole in the top with heavy duty hold
punch. I like the Crop-A-Dile.
7- Decorate with your choice of Stamps & Colors. Use dimensionals as needed.
I used the Magical Meadow Bundle and stamped the images in Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, and Real Red ink. Cut out with coordinating dies.
Paper Piecing Technique: Fussy cut out the red berries and adhere over the green berries to get a multi-color image.
Cut out one of the detail dies in Gold Shimmer Paper, add to the right side of the tag. Remove any sections that may be covered by the stamped images.
Layer the images and gold die cut to create a pleasing bouquet.
8- To Heat Emboss with Classic Ink. Quickly move through these steps so the ink doesn’t dry.
Ink your stamp with plenty of ink and stamp.
Quickly cover with Clear Embossing Powder, remove excess.
Heat Set with Heat Tool.
9- Fussy cut out greeting add to the center of the tag/ornament.
10- Add embellishments if you want. String through 5” or
more of twine.
All Done!
