Make More Cards with just the STAMPS & INK from the September 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Stampin' Up!

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing a fun card you can make with just the stamp set & ink spot from the September 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Autumn Abundance.

Every month my Paper Pumpkin subscribers receive an exclusive card kit designed by me using the stamp set from that month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit. The kit I send includes all the cardstock & embellishments they need to create two of the exclusive card design. If you would like to also receive this special perk, sign up today and select me as your demonstrator (Chelsey Christensen, CO) click here: https://www.paperpumpkin.com/en-us/sign-up/?demoid=2042902.

This is NOT the exclusive card I created for my subscribers. If you are one of my subscribers and are looking for the exclusive card, please visit my blog - https://creativechelsey.blogspot.com/p/paper-pumpkin-subscriber-exclusive.html

For this card I wanted a fun design you can use any color combination with. I love how the leaf image looks so good as a background stamp.

If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

Coordinating Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Basic White Cardstock – 4” x 5 ¼” & scrap for greeting

Coordinating Cardstock – Strips any size ¼” or ½” thick

Linen Thread – 25” – 30” cut into two sections

Coordinating Ink Pads

1- Begin with your lighter ink colors and stamp one leaf in a band across the 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White piece.

2- Then stamp with the same leaf a darker color just above the lighter color. Make sure to fill in any open areas.

3- Switch leaf stamps and stamp another band just below the first in another light color.

4- Then stamp the same image in a darker color at the bottom. This will give you a fun background you can add to the front of your cardbase with dimensionals.

5- Cut some strips from coordinating cardstock leftover pieces. I used ¼” & ½” thick strips. Trim the ends at an angle to fishtail banner shape to give interest. Add them in the center of the card, overlapping at different angles. They do not need to be straight.

6- Cut two 13” or larger pieces of Linen Thread and make a faux bow over the strips of cardstock, where you want to place your greeting.

7- Stamp your greeting in a coordinating color – I used Early Espresso and cut out with a fun label die or punch, I used the Spotlight on Nature Dies. You could also use any labels you have left over from the kit. Add this over the faux bow with dimensionals.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step:

September 2024 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives - Use The Envelopes & The Rest of the Die Cut Pieces

Hi Everyone and welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. For the past couple days I have shared with you a ton of great card ideas you can make with one set of supplies from the September 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Autumn Abundance.

Today I am sharing with you my last set of three cards you can make with the envelope leftover pieces and the last of the die cuts. These cards are actually some of my favorite alternatives I have made with this kit.

The projects from this kit are beautiful with colorful leaf designs perfect for this time of year. The kit creates a total of 9 greeting cards 3 in three different designs. The kit creates a total of 9 greeting cards 3 in three different designs. If you would like to watch me unbox the kit and create these cards click on the playlist below.

Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store. A full supply list is below.

Card #1

Crushed Curry Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Early Espresso Cardstock – ¼” x 5 ½”

Basic White Cardstock – Scrap

Maple Leaf Envelope Flap – Kit

Large Maple Leaf Die Cut – Kit

Vanilla Envelope Back Piece – Kit

Linen Thread – 10”

1- Cut the Maple Leaf (Cajun Craze) Envelope Flap into a long rectangle, mine is around 2” x 5”. Add this to the center of your cardbase about ¾” from the top.

2- Add Splatter with any coordinating color marker, I used Early Espresso.

3- Cut a ½” x 5” strip from the Vanilla Back piece of one Envelope. Add this to the bottom of the Maple Pattern piece. They don’t need to overlap.

4- Cut a ¼” x 5 ½” strip of Early Espresso or other coordinating cardstock. Cut the ends into an angle. Add between the pattern piece and Vanilla strip, make sure to leave enough space for your greeting on the Vanilla strip.

5- Add one of the Large Maple Die Cut leaves to the left side of the card with dimensionals. Stamp a Maple image in Crushed Curry and fussy cut out. Add next to the large leaf with dimensionals.

6- Stamp your greeting on the right side of the ½” Vanilla strip in Early Espresso ink. I used the WITH THANKS greeting

7- Tie a bow with 10” of Linen Thread and add with a glue dot to the Maple Leaves.

Card #2

Basic Beige Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Multi Color Envelope Flap (Blue) – Kit

Vanilla Envelope Back Piece – Kit

Blue Leaf Die Cut – Kit

Orange Leaves Die Cut - Kit

1 ½” Circle Punch

Linen Thread – 10”

1- Cut the leftover Envelope piece into a rectangle. Mine was about 4” x 5”. Separate the flap pattern from the rest of the piece at the score line about 2”. Keep the Multi Color Pattern piece in tack, with the other plain blue piece cut in half at about 1” x 5” so you have two of the same size.

2- Add the Multi Color Leaf Pattern piece in the center of the cardbase. Add one of the Blue Strips on each side (top & bottom). Place the adhesive on the outer long edge, make sure they overlap the pattern piece slightly, with no glue on the overlapping side.

3- Roll or distress the edge that overlaps the pattern piece, make it look like the blue pieces were pulled back to reveal the pattern. You can also add dimensionals under the blue pieces to give more depth if you want.

4- Stamp your greeting on the Vanilla Envelope Back Piece in Cajun Craze ink, punch out with 1 ½” Circle Punch and distress the edges slightly. Add to the right area between the pattern piece and top blue piece with dimensionals.

5- Add the Blue Leaf Die Cut & Half of the Orange Leaf Die Cut to the middle with dimensionals. Tuck the stem under the bottom Blue Strip.

6- Tie a bow with 10” of Linen Thread and add to the Greeting with a glue dot.

Card #3

Copper Clay Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Crumb Cake Cardstock – 2” x 2 ¾”

Basic White Cardstock – scrap

Square Envelope Flap – Kit

½” Orange Leaf Die Cut – Kit

Wood Grain Die Cut – Kit

Cajun Craze Strip – Kit

Linen Thread – 10”

1- Splatter Early Espresso or other coordinating color ink on the cardbase. Stamp two Branches in Early Espresso ink in the center one on the right and one on the left.

2- Trim the Square Envelope Flap to a rectangle. Add near the bottom of the card. Add the Cajun Craze strip along the top of the pattern piece with the left edge near the left side of the card.

3- Cut a flag shape from the bottom of the Crumb Cake piece to create a banner. Stamp your greeting near the top edge. Add to the center of the card between the branches.

4- Add the Wood Grain piece with dimensionals on the right side of the Banner. Stamp the Maple leaf in Wild Wheat ink and fussy cut out. Overlap it on the left of the wood piece with a dimensional. Add the other half of the Orange Leaf Die Cut on the left as well.

5- Tie a bow with 10” of Linen Thread and add near the stems of the leaves.

6- Stamp the Snail on a Basic White scrap, Body in Crumb Cake & Shell in Early Espresso. Fussy cut out and add with a dimensional over the center of the Bow.

I have also created a video walking you through each step.
