The cards this month are perfect for Spring,
with images of Herbs and soft blues, greens & pinks.
This is the second set of alternative card ideas I will be sharing with you this week. These two cards use the same size pieces to create different backgrounds. I would love to know which one is your favorite – This or That?
If you would like to watch me unbox the kit and make the original cards visit this playlist - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL40dV1oxpkNn3uZadkWjCmO0DXa_N2BHf
Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store. A full supply list is below or on my blog – www.creativechelsey.com

Card #1
Basic Beige Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”
Crumb Cake Cardstock – 1” x 4”
Basic Beige Cardbase – Kit
Envelope Front – Kit
Basil Label & Die Cut – Kit
Die Cut Leftover Scraps - Kit
1- Cut the Basic Beige Cardbase and the Envelope Front from the kit to 4” x 5 ¼”. Place them together and cut the 5 ¼” edge at 2 ¾”. So you have two pieces that are 2 ¾” x 4” and two pieces that are 2 ½” x 4”.
2- Add the Envelope 2 ¾” x 4” piece to the bottom half of
the Cardbase. Tear the Crumb Cake strip down one side and attach to the 4” side
of the Basic Beige 2 ½” x 4” piece. Add this to the top half of the Cardbase so
the Crumb Cake torn edge is between the two pattern pieces.
3- Add the Basil Die Cut over the printed Basil Label with a dimensional. Add the Label with dimensionals to left of center on the Cardbase.
4- Stamp the For You Greeting in Crumb Cake in a large area from the leftover die cut scraps in the kit. Fussy cut or punch out with ¾” Circle. Add near the Basil Die Cut with a dimensional.
5- Add 3-5 Neutral Embellishments.
All Done!
Card #2
Crumb Cake Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”
Basic Beige Cardbase – Kit
Envelope Front – Kit
Chives Label – Kit
Pink Angled Label - Kit
Die Cut Leftover Scraps - Kit
Linen Thread – 12”
1- Layer the 2 ½” x 4” Envelope Piece behind the 2 ¾” x 4” Basic Beige Piece so about ¼” to ½” of border is showing from the top & right sides.
2- Stamp the Chives Flower in Petunia Pop on the Die Cut Scrap piece, without reinking stamp again on the Chives Label. This is called 2nd Generation Stamping and it will give you a lighter color. Repeat two more times.
3- With the Coordinating Chives Flower Die cut out 2 from the Scrap piece. You can fussy cut them or use the coordinating Spring Is In The Air Dies. Add them to the Chives Label with a rolled-up piece of Tear & Tape to give a little dimension.
4- Add the Chives Label with dimensionals to the left of center on the two pattern pieces.
5- Use tear & tape to add a faux bow with 12” of Linen
Thread in the bottom right area of the Chives Label.
6- Stamp your greeting on the Pink Angled Label in Petunia Pop. Add a Dimensional to the right side and place over the faux bow on the right side.
7- Adhere everything to the center of the cardbase.
All Done!
I have also created a video walking you through each step.
