Here are the extra pieces of cardstock I used for the cards:

Thick Basic White Cardbase 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Basic White Cardstock ¾” x 4 ¼” | 2 ¾” x 4 ¼”

Here is a list of the supplies I used to make the card:

Thick Basic White Cardstock 159229 $8.25

Basic White Cardstock 159276 $9.75

Any combination of three ink colors - https://www.stampinup.com/categories/shop-products/featured-products/ink-coloring/ink?demoid=2042902

Memento Black Ink Pad 132708 $6.00

Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker 100082 $3.00

Banners Pick A Punch 153608 $23.00

Paper Trimmer 152392 $25.00

Simply Shammy 147042 $8.00

Stampin’ Seal PLUS Adhesive 149699 $12.00

Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755 $4.00

Tear & Tape Adhesive 138995 $7.00

Dimensionals 104430 $4.00

Clear Block D 118485 $8.50

Paper Snips 103579 $10.00

Bone Folder 102300 $7.00

Stampin' Pierce Mat 126199 $5.00

Take Your Pick Tool 144107 $10.00

1- On the 2 ¾” x 4 ¼” stamp three presents in different colors. To get them to fit I stamped two going the same direction in each corner on one side and one at a 90 degree in the corners of the other side. This also gives enough room for you to stamp the bows in Memento Black ink at the top.

2- With the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker add a double outline around each present. This is an optional step, but does add a fun look to the card.

3- Fussy cut out each present.

4- On the front of the cardbase use the Black Marker to draw a double outline around the card. Then add some splattering going from the top right corner to the bottom left by drawing different size circles / dots.

5- Add the two vertical presents to the left of the card. Add the horizontal present with dimensionals to the right.

6- Cut the strip down if you want to use a smaller greeting. I cut to 3”. Then flag each end with the Banners Pick A Punch. I wanted my card to be a birthday card, so I only inked up “happy” from happy holidays in Memento Black Ink and stamped it in the center of the strip.

7- If you want add a double outline around the edge with a Black Marker. Add to the card with dimensionals above the horizontal present.

All Done!

Color Combinations I used:

Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, Mango Melody

Poppy Parade, Garden Green, Mint Macaron

Balmy Blue, Pacific Point, Night of Navy

How To Make A DISPLAY Handmade Card with the November 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit from Stampin' Up!

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my third alternative card idea using the November 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Gifts Galore. This kit comes with everything you need to make 9 super cute Christmas/Holiday Themed Gift Treat Boxes, 3 in three different designs. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some craft supplies and make cards.

Today’s card is a unique Display Handmade Card shown with all three designs from the kit. The cardbase is a Mini Slimline size, then with the addition on a foldable stand you can decorate both the front and back of the cardbase and when open it can stand and be displayed as a whole image or scene. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! Take Your Pick Tool 144107 $10.00

1- Stamp the small Snowflake images in Pool Party ink on the OPEN Pool Party Cardbase in the top left and bottom right corners.

2- Cut out a scallop rectangle (or other type of rectangle) from both Poppy Parade pieces. Trim them along one long edge so they can meet together in the middle and have a nice large border when added to the cardbase. Adhere to the OPEN cardbase so they touch over the folded score line.

3- Cut the Large Snowman in half. Begin by removing about ¼” from the bottom. Then cut down the middle of the buttons. Adhere so the two halves meet along the score line, make sure the design matches in the center and there are no gaps. Place the adhesive along the straight cut so you can add dimensionals along the outside edge for depth.

4- Stamp 4 different “presents” with coordinating colors with the Striped Rectangle and Bow stamps. I used Mossy Meadow, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Old Olive. Fussy cut out and arrange on the left side of the Snowman. Have some in front and some tucked behind the Snowman. Use dimensionals for depth. To make the presents smaller you can cut them in half.

5- Stamp the greeting on a Circle Label from the kit in Mossy Meadow ink. Add to the right side of the Snowman with dimensionals.

6- Add 8 Rhinestones.

7- Add the easel at the base of the inside of the card. On the 1” x 6” strip, score at ½”, 3”, & 5 ½”. Fold along the score lines to create a “W”. Add Tear & Tape adhesive to the small sections. Place the middle score line near the bottom & side edges of the card. Tilt it a little into to bottom corner, remove the paper backing from the top section and close the card. Open and remove the paper backing of the other side and close again. When the card is open you it should stand.

All Done!

Here are the extra pieces of cardstock I used for the cards:

Basic White Cardbase – 4 ¼” x 11 scored at 5 ½”

From the Kit:

Large Presents

8” Twine

Box Template

Here is a list of the supplies I used to make the card:

Basic White Cardstock 159276 $9.75

Pool Party Ink Pad 147107 $7.50

Layering Circle Dies 151770 $35.00

Wink of Stella Glitter Brush 141897 $8.00

Stampin’ Spritzers 126185 $3.00

Rubbing Alcohol

Paper Trimmer 152392 $25.00

Simply Shammy 147042 $8.00

Stampin’ Seal PLUS Adhesive 149699 $12.00

Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755 $4.00

Bone Folder 102300 $7.00

Stampin' Pierce Mat 126199 $5.00

Take Your Pick Tool 144107 $10.00

1- Lightly adhere the large present piece to the front of the cardbase. Make sure the score line of the cardbase lines up with the top flat edge of the presents. The bow can hang off. Trim off any excess from the bottom & edges. Finish adhering it completely to the cardbase.

2- Begin trimming the cardbase around the presents with a sharp pair of Paper Snips. I like to cut a little on the inside of the edge so both the front present piece and the cardbase are the same shape.

3- To add a little shine, mix a couple drops of Wink of Stella with Rubbing Alcohol in a Stampin’ Spritzer. Shake and spray a little on the presents. Then place between a couple books to keep flat as it dries.

4- To make the pocket. Remove the small sections on the left and right at the corners from the middle section. See image. Then trim the bottom area at an angle to create a bottom flap.

5- Stamp the striped rectangle in Pool Party ink at the bottom of the pocket. Then only ink up “holidays” in Flirty Flamingo and stamp right above the rectangle. Clean and ink and stamp “happy” above and to the right.

6- Fold in the side flaps and add Tear & Tape Adhesive. Then fold in the bottom flap and add adhesive. Place inside the card and add money.

7- To decorate the front I stamped the striped rectangle in Pool Party ink and fussy cut out. Add over the large red gift at the bottom of the presents. Stamp your greeting in Flirty Flamingo ink and fussy cut out. Add over the striped rectangle with dimensionals.

8- Tie a bow with 8” of Twine and adhere by the greeting with a glue dot.
