Make More Cards with just the STAMPS & INK from the September 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Stampin' Up!

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing a fun card you can make with just the stamp set & ink spot from the September 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Autumn Abundance.

Every month my Paper Pumpkin subscribers receive an exclusive card kit designed by me using the stamp set from that month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit. The kit I send includes all the cardstock & embellishments they need to create two of the exclusive card design. If you would like to also receive this special perk, sign up today and select me as your demonstrator (Chelsey Christensen, CO) click here: https://www.paperpumpkin.com/en-us/sign-up/?demoid=2042902.

This is NOT the exclusive card I created for my subscribers. If you are one of my subscribers and are looking for the exclusive card, please visit my blog - https://creativechelsey.blogspot.com/p/paper-pumpkin-subscriber-exclusive.html

For this card I wanted a fun design you can use any color combination with. I love how the leaf image looks so good as a background stamp.

If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

Coordinating Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Basic White Cardstock – 4” x 5 ¼” & scrap for greeting

Coordinating Cardstock – Strips any size ¼” or ½” thick

Linen Thread – 25” – 30” cut into two sections

Coordinating Ink Pads

1- Begin with your lighter ink colors and stamp one leaf in a band across the 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White piece.

2- Then stamp with the same leaf a darker color just above the lighter color. Make sure to fill in any open areas.

3- Switch leaf stamps and stamp another band just below the first in another light color.

4- Then stamp the same image in a darker color at the bottom. This will give you a fun background you can add to the front of your cardbase with dimensionals.

5- Cut some strips from coordinating cardstock leftover pieces. I used ¼” & ½” thick strips. Trim the ends at an angle to fishtail banner shape to give interest. Add them in the center of the card, overlapping at different angles. They do not need to be straight.

6- Cut two 13” or larger pieces of Linen Thread and make a faux bow over the strips of cardstock, where you want to place your greeting.

7- Stamp your greeting in a coordinating color – I used Early Espresso and cut out with a fun label die or punch, I used the Spotlight on Nature Dies. You could also use any labels you have left over from the kit. Add this over the faux bow with dimensionals.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step:
