Cut Fabric With Your Die Cuts - November 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternative Card Idea - Stampin Up

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Thanks for joining me today as I continue to share some beautiful card ideas you can make with the November 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Filled With Joy.

The project this month are cute Stockings with Tags that you can fill and give away to friends and family. I love the retro designs and colors in the kit. If you would like to watch me unbox the kit and create these cards click on the playlist click on this link - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL40dV1oxpkNm7mGU8P-yloiVvTU-OKpg0

If you are not into making the stockings this month and would like some card ideas instead you are in the right place.

This is the second alternative card I will be sharing with you this week. This card gives all the retro feels. I love the use of circles as a backdrop for this easy to replicate layout. I also will be sharing with you how to cut fabric with you die cuts.

Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store. A full supply list is below or on my blog –

I also want to mention the amazing perks you can receive when you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me as your demonstrator. With every Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set & Ink Spot sent, I design a card and mail out my very own card kit to my subscribers so they can make two of my exclusive card design. These cards so fun and show new ways to use stamps & ink. We also meet once each month to make the card together, chat & have fun. *PLUS I have joined with other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators to design 8-10 more alternative ideas in a PDF Tutorial (includes photos & instructions). My subscribers receive this PDF Tutorial along with an Exclusively Designed Card Kit, all for FREE! If you would also like to receive this extra perk, sign up for paper pumpkin using the link below and make sure to select me as your demonstrator.

Crumb Cake Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Poppy Parade Cardstock – 2 ¾” Diameter Circle

Shaded Spruce Cardstock – 5/8” x 1 ¼”

Pool Party Cardstock – 1 1/16” Diameter Circle

Fabric Stocking – kit – Top Stitch Loop, Stitch Edge, 1 5/8” Diameter Circle

One Ornament – kit

Gold Topper – kit

Basic White Baker’s Twine – 10”

1- Splatter the Crumb Cake Cardbase with a small paint brush – the water painters are perfect for this, mix with a couple drops of White Craft Ink & water. Let dry. Then stamp the 4-point stars in Poppy Parade ink randomly across the front.

2- Add two Tear & Tape Strips across the left folded edge on the front of the cardbase. Cut along one of the seams in the Top Stich Loop from the Fabric Stocking. Adhere it with the folded edge of the fabric along the folded edge of the cardbase.

3- Add the Stitch Edge next with the frayed edges touching. Trim off the overhanging fabric.

4- Cut out three circles with the Spotlight on Nature Dies. Poppy Parade Cardstock – 2 ¾” Diameter, Pool Party Cardstock – 1 1/16” Diameter, Fabric – 1 5/8”. TIP: To get a clean cut with fabric make sure have added Adhesive Sheet to the back of the Fabric & run through your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with newish plates and go back & forth a couple times.

5- Stamp images on the circles with Poppy Parade ink. Poppy Parade Circle – 4-point stars & Pool Party Circle – Starburst

6- Add the Poppy Parade circle with dimensionals on the card touching the Fabric Edging & about 1” from the top. Remove the Adhesive Backing from the Fabric Circle and place under the Poppy Parade Circle in the bottom right area. Add the Pool Party Circle in the center of the Fabric Circle with a Dimensional.

7- Stamp your greeting in VersaMark on Shaded Spruce Cardstock, make sure to add Embossing Powder first, add White Embossing Powder, remove excess and Heat until shiny. Trim down to fit. Then adhere with dimensionals between the circles.

8- Add the Gold Topper to the top of the Ornament with a glue dot. Then place on the right side of the Poppy Parade Circle with dimensionals, near the Greeting.

9- Tie a Bow with 10” of White Baker’s Twine to the Gold Topper.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step.
