Tips To Stamping on Vellum - Alternative Card Idea for the December 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit

Today I’m sharing my third paper pumpkin alternative made with the December 2025 Watercolor In Bloom Kit. This heartfelt thank you card feels both elegant and comforting. The layered oval, soft watercolor background, and delicate floral details come together to create a design that’s perfect for letting someone know just how much they mean to you.

This card is a beautiful reminder that sometimes simple layers and a meaningful sentiment are all you need.

Thick Basic White Cardbase - 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4"

Basic White Cardstock - scraps for die cutting

Dark Blue to Light Blue Watercolor Cardbase*

Tall Rectangle with Leaf Decorative Edges*

How to Make This Card

1. Cut the Cardbase

Cut the BlueWatercolor Cardbase to 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".

Add it to the front of the Thick Basic White Cardbase.

2. Vellum

Stamp the Large Fern and the Small Branch with Leaves in Night of Navy on one side of the Vellum Oval.

Let dry.

Flip over so the stamped images are on the back. Add glue dots where the images are so they are hidden. 

Add to the center of the cardbase.

3. Build the Floral Layer

Cut the Long Rectangle Decorative piece in half at 2-3/4".

Trim the decorative edges off at 1/2" from the straight edge- removing the Bronze Foil edge.

Add the two edge pieces together with a small gap. Connect them with dimensionals.

4. Stamp the Sentiment

Stamp “You make me feel loved” at the bottom of the Rectangle Label in Night of Navy ink. Then stamp Thank You centered & above the longer greeting.

Place the greeting in the center of the Floral Layer. You should see the Bronze Foil at the top & bottom of the greeting.

Adhere this to the center of the Oval.

5. Floral Die Cuts & Embellishments

Cut three White Flowers using the Flower Die from the Abundant Joy Dies.

Cut out four Sprigs from White Cardstock and tuck them around the Flowers.

Add around the greeting with dimensionals.

Add three Bronze Sequins
