A Great Card Layout to Use Up Your Scraps - December 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Watercolor In Bloom - Stampin’ Up!

Hello friends!

Today I’m sharing my eighth and last alternative card idea made with the December 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Watercolor In Bloom. This “Miss You” card combines soft neutrals with rich patterned paper for a heartfelt design that’s perfect for thinking-of-you, sympathy, or encouragement cards.

This layout is a great example of how simple layers, ribbon, and a bold sentiment can come together to create something really special.

How to Make This Card

1. Add the Center Panel

Add the Navy with Green Leaf Pattern scrap to the center of the cardbase with dimensionals.

2. Trim Decorative Edge

Trim the Decorative Edge off the rectangle at 1/2" measure from the straight edge not the top of the decorative leaves. Repeat on the other side.

Add the Decorative Edges to the Vellum Rectangle on opposite sides.

The leaves should be facing the center of the Vellum.

Lay the Secret Sea Ribbon across the center panel on the cardbase. Then adhere the Vellum piece over the ribbon and panel so the decorative edges are at the top & bottom.

Adhere with dimensionals on the outside edges so they connect with the cardbase and not the center panel.

3. Ribbon & Twine

Fold the Ribbon over the Vellum bringing the two ends together on the left side. You can use a small glue dot to hold them together if it helps.

Tie 10” of White Baker’s Twine around the loose ends of the Secret Sea Ribbon and make a bow.

You can use a small glue dot under the ribbon to hold in place if needed.

4. Add the Sentiment

Stamp your greeting on Secret Sea Cardstock. Make sure to use an Embossing Buddy before stamping in VersaMark ink.

Add White Embossing powder, remove excess, and heat set until shiny.

Cut out with a circle from the Spotlight In Nature Dies Set.

Add over the Vellum near the Baker’s Twine with dimensionals.

5. Embellish

Finish with a few adhesive-backed sequins or gems scattered around the focal area to add subtle sparkle.
