Celebrate The Season With Handmade Cards - October 2023 Paper Pumpkin Alternative - Stampin' Up!

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey.

There's something undeniably magical about receiving a handmade card during the holiday season. The time, effort, and love poured into each creation make them all the more special. This year, embrace the spirit of the season by crafting unique cards using supplies from the October 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Home For The Holidays. Join me this week as I share 5 simple card ideas you can make with one set of supplies from this month’s kit.

Today is my second alternative card
. This card uses the second cardbase along with some vellum to define the foreground from the background.

1- Cut the cardbase from the kit in half at 4 ¼”. Trim ½” from the left side and ½” from the bottom. Add this to the center of the Night of Navy piece. Add to the center of the cardbase with dimensionals.

2- Cut the Glimmer Strip in half around 1”. Add these about ¼” from the bottom on each side leaving a gap in the middle. Make it look like they could be one solid strip.

3- Add the Vellum piece over the center. Adhere it with adhesive between the two glimmer pieces. This will be covered by the greeting.

4- Trim off 1” from the bottom of the Red House Die Cut. Cut down to 1” x 3 ½”. Stamp your greeting in Real Red ink on the left side of this strip.

5- Trim off about another ½” from the bottom of the Red House Die Cut. Then fussy cut down the left side of the tree and then through the base to remove the extra white on the left side. Add the house in the center of the two tree in the background with dimensionals.

6- Add the greeting underneath the house with dimensionals. This should cover the gap between the glitter pieces.

7- Add the Large Tree Die Cut with dimensionals on the right side to cover the straight edge on the right side of the house.

8- Add dots of Glitter Glue over the Vellum to create snowflakes/stars.

All Done!
