Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey.
Join me this week as we embark on a creative journey, exploring simple, elegant, and easy-to-make card designs using the contents of the September 2023 Paper Pumpkin kit. Let's harness the beauty of fall and send heartfelt greetings to our loved ones with these handmade treasures.
Today I am sharing my first alternative idea made with the September 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit called With Love & Gratitude. The card I made is simple and elegant and uses the flap from the box to create a banner shape on the front.
If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

Download a Cutting Template for the Box from the September 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Yuze2zGYTM6vyBFAWinMkmbyMF7yPbKg/view?usp=sharing
1- Begin by opening the box template from the kit so it lays flat. I did this by removing a small 1/16” strip from one of the folded edges. Then cut down the score lines along the flap of the box. This will give you a large rectangle with a triangle shape at the top. Measure 4 ¾” from the tip of the triangle and cut, to give you a shorter shape. See video for visual step by step instructions.
2- Add two coordinating ribbons about ½” above the corners on the banner. I used the large Natural Ribbon from the Combo Pack see the above listing & the Copper Clay Textured Ribbon. Fray the ends if you want.
3- Add the Large Branch Die Cut from the kit with dimensionals to the right side.
4- Stamp your greeting above the Ribbons and to the left
of the die cut, with a neutral ink color, I used Pebbled Path.
5- Emboss a piece of Cardstock 4” x 5 ¼” and add to the front of the cardbase of similar color (Mossy Meadow).
6- Add the Banner so the top edge meets with the embossed paper and is in the center with dimensionals. Add some Gold Sequins.
All Done!
I have also created a video walking you through each step:
