A Slimline Version 3D Landscape - Alternative Idea - May 2023 Exploring In Color Paper Pumpkin Kit

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my fourth alternative idea using the May 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Exploring In Color.

This fun outdoor themed kit creates 9 handmade cards. There are enough supplies to make three of each card. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative projects.

Today I am sharing with you a slimline card that use the full cardbase, both the front and back. I love how beautiful this landscape cardbase is and I just couldn’t cut it up. However, to give it a unique look I created a 3D look and I am so excited to share it with you today.

If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

1- Do not fold the cardbase! Cut 1” from the top and bottom edges of the cardbase. This will give you a piece that is 3 ½” x 8 ½”.

2- Add the bottom 1” strip to the inside of the cardbase.

3- Fussy cut to separate the Mountain scene into three layers, Sky, Mountains, Grass & Bushes.

4- Add these sections to the cardbase. Use dimensionals to give depth.

I added the Mountains first, place dimensionals along the top Mountain edge and glue along the bottom.

Add the Sky with only glue and the bottom grasses with only dimensionals. Tip don’t remove the paper backing from behind the large bushes, you will be placing the greeting underneath.

5- Stamp your greeting on one of the Moody Mauve rectangle pieces in VersaMark, add white embossing powder and heat set. Tear the right edge and distress a little.

6- From the Sky 1” strip but about 2 ½”. Distress and add behind he greeting.

7- Layer the greeting on the Vellum Circle with dimensionals.

8- Add adhesive behind the circle and place along the left side of the cardbase tucking it behind the bushes.

Now you can remove the paper backing of those dimensionals and adhere.

9- Add the Binocular Die Cut to the right side of the greeting with dimensionals.. I wanted a little less white border so I fussy cut around them.

10- Stamp a greeting inside the card.

All Done!
