Quick and Simple Handmade Card - How I watercolored the FOREVER GOLD LASER-CUT PAPER from Stampin Up

This quick and simple handmade card is made with the FOREVER GOLD LASER-CUT PAPER from Stampin Up. I wanted to add some extra interest and depth to one of the background pieces and so I added some water coloring to the inside of the leaves. I really love how it all came together. I hope you enjoy this handmade card tutorial and come back for more. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! Here are the dimensions and pieces you will need to create this card:
Soft Sea Foam Cardstock card base 8 ½” x 5 ½” scored at 4 ¼” | 3 ½” x 5”
Mossy Meadow Cardstock – scrap
Basic Black Cardstock – scrap

Here is a list of the supplies I used to make the card:
Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper 152493 $15.00
Soft Sea Foam Cardstock 146988 $8.75
Mossy Meadow Cardstock 133676 $8.75
Basic Black Cardstock 121045 $8.75
Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack 152475 $9.00
Well Written Dies 151816 $40.00
Water Painters 151298 $12.00
Garden Green Ink Pad 147089 $7.50
Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad 147104 $7.50
Paper Trimmer 152392 $25.00
Simply Shammy 147042 $8.00
Snail Adhesive 104332 $7.00
Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755 $4.00
Mini Dimensionals 144108 $4.00
Paper Snips 103579 $10.00
Bone Folder 102300 $7.00
Take Your Pick Tool 144107 $10.00

1- Glue the gold background die cut piece to the Soft Sea Foam Cardstock.
2- Use a water painter to paint the insides of the leaves. I used Garden Green in the larger leaves and Pear Pizzazz for the smaller ones. Create depth by adding more color to the inside areas of the leaves.

TIP: You can use a little rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth to remove any ink or glue on the gold piece.
3- Adhere to the center of the cardbase with dimensionals.
4- Tie a bow with 8” of Gold Twine. Add it to the left bottom area of the gold background. Adhere a 2 ½” strip of the Weave Ribbon over the bow with liquid adhesive.

TIP: Tie two knots where you want to cut the Gold Twine, then cut between them so your twine doesn't fray.
5- Cut out a greeting from the Well Written die set in both Mossy Meadow and Basic Black Cardstock. Adhere the Mossy Meadow over the Basic Black and add over the Weave Ribbon.

All Done!
