Alternative Card Idea using the envelopes from the July Paper Pumpkin Summer Night Add-On Kit

Today I have another alternative handmade card using the envelopes from the 2020 July Paper Pumpkin – Summer Nights ADD-ON KIT. For these cards I wanted to use both the gold foil edging on the front and the pattern paper on the inside. By creating a frame around the gold foil you can use both pieces. I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more videos as I continue to create with this month’s kit. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! 1- Trim off the edges of the envelope. Start by cutting the flap side first. You will be cutting very close to the outside edge. These measurements work for my paper trimmer, you may need to adjust a little.
Cut at 4 5/16”
Rotate to cut the opposite side at 4 1/8”
Rotate to cut the top at 5 9/16”
Then the last side at 5 3/8
Final dimensions 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”
2- Cut an inside rectangle from the middle: Remember not to cut all the way across and through the gold foiling. Line up the right side edge at ¼” for each side. Start your blade in the middle of the paper and cut up to the ¼” marking. Rotate and repeat on all edges. Then flip the paper over and do the same to finish cutting out the middle. (see video for details)
3- Add the pattern paper to the center of the cardbase at an angle. Adhere the frame over the pattern paper.
4- Using coordinating inks stamp the greeting on the ¾” strip and the images you want on some scrap cardstock. Fussy Cut. I used Calypso Coral for the greeting and flower, Misty Moonlight for the 3-leaf image, and Coastal Cabana for the fern.
5- Cut 10” of the Weave Ribbon and adhere it in a “z” shape to the back of the Gold Foil Sheet. Adhere below center to the right side of the card.
6- Add the greeting with dimensionals lower than center over the gold foil. Add the stamped images above the greeting, the flower with a dimensional.
7- Add some Elegant Faceted Gems around the images.

All Done!
