Turn Your March 2026 Paper Pumpkin Kit into This Stunning Fun Fold Card! šŸ’œ

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey! Today I’m sharing my first gorgeous alternative card idea using the March 2026 Paper Pumpkin Kit.

This card is such a fun one because it’s a fun fold design with only the center panel that opens up. The beautiful hummingbird image really shines. I love how elegant this card feels with the soft colors, layered textures, and that bold “Beautiful” sentiment across the center.

For this design, I wanted to:

Highlight the stunning hummingbird focal point

Create a fun fold card base for added interest

Add soft texture with twine layers behind the sentiment

Keep everything balanced with a clean, elegant layout

The combination of the soft background, delicate foliage, and vibrant hummingbird makes this card feel extra special.

Card Assembly Instructions

1. Create the Fun Fold Base
Start with your cardbase and score it 1” from the left and right sides, stopping at the score line.

2. Add the Side Panels

Stamp the Large Branch image in Pool Party ink on both Envelope strips. Add them to the side panels so there is an even border along the outside edges. The inside edge should match with the cardstock. Adhere both sides to the inside of the cardbase.

3. Create the Center Panel
Stamp the Large Branch image in Pool Party ink on the Light Gray Cardbase piece in the top right and bottom left corners.

Add the Small Splatter image in Basic Gray ink. Adhere to the center panel with dimensionals.

4. Build the Beautiful Greeting
Add Adhesive Foam Sheet to the back of the Gorgeous Grape piece and cut out the “Beautiful” die.

Unravel 13” of Gray Baker’s Twine so you have 3 strands. Loop the strands into a nest shape.

Adhere the strands to the back of the Beautiful die cut. Then add to the Petal Pink strip. Flag the ends of the strip and add to the center panel.

5. Add Layers

Layer the humming bird die cut above the Beautiful Greeting

Stamp the Leaf image three times in Basic Gray on Basic White Cardstock or scraps from the Envelope. Color in with Light Old Olive Blend Marker and fussy cut out. Adhere with glue dots around the greeting & hummingbird.

6. Stamp the Greeting with the Mask Technique
Stamp Birthday Wishes in Basic Gray ink on the sticky side of a Post-It Note. Cut out the word Wishes.

Reink the stamp, then cover it with the Post-It note so only the word Wishes is showing through the opening. Stamp on Basic White Cardstock or Envelope Scraps. Fussy cut out and add below the Beautiful Die Cut with dimensionals.

7. Add Embellishments
Add 3-5 Glitter Dots.

Inside
Add the 3-1/4" x 4” Basic White piece to the inside of the card.

Why I Love This Card

This card is such a great example of how you can take your Paper Pumpkin kit and turn it into something that feels extra special and unique.

The fun fold design adds that wow factor, while the hummingbird and layered textures make it feel elegant and detailed without being complicated.
