GORGEOUS Ombre Background with Stampin’ Blends! | March 2026 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card

I can’t stop playing with this kit 😍 and today’s card is my seventh alternative design using the March 2026 Paper Pumpkin Kit—and it’s all about that soft, dreamy ombré background.

This technique is SO easy but gives you a stunning, custom look every single time. If you’ve never tried blending your background with Stampin’ Blends… you are going to LOVE this!

For this design, I focused on:

Creating a multi-color ombré background using Stampin’ Blends

Letting the stamped floral image shine over the color

Keeping the layout simple with a bold “Thank You” focal point

Adding contrast with a touch of black twine

This is one of those cards that looks super impressive—but comes together quickly!

 Card Assembly Instructions

1. Create the Ombre Background

Let’s start with the FUN part!

Using your Stampin’ Blends, add color directly to the cardstock:

     ●     Start with one color at the top color down about 3/4"

     ●     Add a second color directly below about 3/4" moving downward

     ●     Slightly overlap where the colors meet to blend the colors together. Blend with the lighter color.

     Repeat with the next color

You can use any color combination. I used: Lemon Lolly (Light), Calypso Coral (Light), Bubble Bath (Light), Pool Party (Light), & Old Olive (Light).

The result is a beautiful, sunset-inspired blend that makes your background look custom and unique.

2. Stamp Your Background Image

Stamp the Large Branch image with Basic Gray ink over the printed circle to hide it. Then fill in all the other open spaces.

3. Layer Your Panel & Add Twine

Adhere your finished ombré panel onto the Basic Black piece.

Wrap with 20” of Black Baker’s Twine and tie a single knot on the left. Lay the 12” piece over the knot and tie a second knot to secure both pieces together. Then tie a bow with both pieces. Slide it all the way to the left side.

Then attach it to your cardbase with dimensionals.

4. Add the Sentiment

Use the bold “Thank You” die cut from the kit and pop it up with dimensionals right in the center.

This keeps the card clean while letting the background do all the work.

Why I Love This Card

This card is such a great reminder that you don’t need fancy tools to get a wow effect.

The Stampin’ Blends do all the work, and every background turns out slightly different—which makes each card feel extra special 💕
