Upgrade Your October 2025 Paper Pumpkin Cozy Christmas Kit with this Alternative Card Idea

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey! I’m so glad you’re here as I share another beautiful Alternative Card Idea you can make with supplies from the October 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Cozy Christmas.

The original cards in this kit are quick and festive, but I love finding ways to take the pieces even further. Today’s alternative project features a warm, earthy Christmas look using ferns, flowers, and soft neutrals. This card layers stamped textures with delicate die cuts for a cozy, detailed holiday design.

If you’d like to watch me unbox the kit and see the original cards, check out the playlist here:

Each month I create multiple alternative ideas using the contents of the Paper Pumpkin kit plus a few basic supplies. These ideas are fun, easy to follow, and perfect for crafters of any level. You can use supplies from your kit or pick up anything extra from my online store. A full supply list is below.

I also want to remind you of the exclusive perks my Paper Pumpkin subscribers receive each month. I design a special card and send them an exclusive card kit so they can create two of my design using the stamp set and ink spot from the Paper Pumpkin Kit. We also meet once a month to craft together and have a fun.

PLUS—my subscribers get a bonus 7–10 project PDF Tutorial created in collaboration with other talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. This is completely FREE with your subscription!

If you’d like these perks, subscribe to Paper Pumpkin using the link below and be sure to select me as your demonstrator:

———————— Measurements ————————

Pecan Pie Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Basic Beige Pattern Cardbase KIT – 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”

Red Pattern Cardbase KIT – 3 Flower Die Cuts

Green Pattern Cardbase KIT – 3 Fern Die Cuts

Green Velvet Fern Branches KIT – Leftover Pieces

Rectangle Label – KIT

Basic Beige Ornament – KIT (cut out snowflakes for embellishments)

———————— Step-by-Step Instructions ————————

1- Use the Cutting Guide https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mAji1pYr_nlLOa1tyCgBiMo9vG6MuyvS/view?usp=sharing to cut and gather the pieces from the cardbases.

2- Stamp the star and snowflake images in Pecan Pie ink onto the left side of the Basic Beige piece using Pecan Pie ink.

3- Add light ink splatters by tapping the Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend Marker over the cardstock.

4- Adhere the finished Basic Beige Pattern piece to the center of the Pecan Pie Cardbase.

5- Stamp “Deck the Halls” in Early Espresso ink on the Rectangle Label.

6- Add Twine loops to the back of the stamped label with about 24” of any color twine – I used Gold. Adhere it with Tear & Tape. Then add the label to the cardbase with dimensionals.

7- Begin building the arrangement around the greeting:

Add the Green Pattern Cardbase Fern Die Cuts and the Green Velvet Fern Branches to the top left & bottom right corners.

Add the Red Flower Die Cuts near the branches with dimensionals.

From the Basic Beige Ornament, cut out the three small snowflake designs add them near the red flowers with glue dots.

9- Add additional embellishments to complete the look. I used the Low Profile Dots and placed the pink ones in the center of each Red Flower and the gold ones near the small snowflake details.

10- Optional: Add a Basic White panel inside for writing.

All done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step.
