Mix Up The Velvet Embellishments to create this fun Alternative October 2025 Paper Pumpkin Card

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Thanks for joining me today as I share another beautiful Christmas themed Alternate Card Ideas you can make with supplies from the October 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Cozy Christmas.

The cards in this kit are quick and simple with Christmas themed images and colors. The kit makes a total of 9 cards 3 of three different designs with coordinating envelopes.

I have made a lot of alternatives, 8 to be exact with the contents to create one set of the original cards. I have created a template showing how to cut the cardbases and envelope, plus the measurements for the extra cardstock pieces for each alternative and you can find the link to download this cutting template here -

This is the fifth alternative card I will be sharing with you this week. I love the little details on this card.

If you would like to watch me unbox the kit and make the original cards visit this playlist - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL40dV1oxpkNl4xaWqLcI0lmyqerzajmin

Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store. A full supply list is below.

I also want to mention the amazing perks you can receive when you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me as your demonstrator. With every Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set & Ink Spot sent, I design a card and mail out my very own card kit to my subscribers so they can make two of my exclusive card design. These cards so fun and show new ways to use stamps & ink. We also meet once each month to make the card together, chat & have fun.

*PLUS I have joined with other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators to design 7-10 more alternative ideas in a PDF Tutorial (includes photos & instructions). My subscribers receive this PDF Tutorial along with an Exclusively Designed Card Kit, all for FREE! If you would also like to receive this extra perk, sign up for paper pumpkin using the link below and make sure to select me as your demonstrator.

If you are interested in getting your own paper pumpkin subscription, please use this link to subscribe -  https://www.stampinup.com/products/paper-pumpkin-subscription/?demoid=2042902

1- Make sure to use the Cutting Guide (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mAji1pYr_nlLOa1tyCgBiMo9gV6MuyvS/view?usp=sharing) to cut your pattern paper to the right size from the cardbases in the kit.

2- Emboss the Garden Green piece with any embossing folder, I used the Forever Plaid Folder. Add it to the front of the cardbase with even borders at the top & bottom.

3- Cut the Brown Pattern piece along the short edge at 1”. This will give you two pieces 1” x 3 ¾” & 1 ¼” x 3 ¾”. Add the larger piece to the top of the Crumb Cake piece matching the top and side edges. Add the smaller piece at the bottom.

3- Cut the Red Pattern Strip in half and flag one end from each half. Add one to the left side in the gap with about ¼” of the flag end going beyond the edge of the Crumb Cake piece. Repeat with the other half.

4- Stamp your greeting in Early Espresso ink on the Basic Beige piece and add with dimensionals between the two red pieces. Add everything to the center of the cardbase with dimensionals.

5- Separate one of the red flowers from the White Joy Die Cut. Fussy cut out one circular snowflake from the Basic Beige Ornament and add to the center of the red flower. Add it to the top right corner of the greeting with dimensionals.

6- Separate two leftover tree row sections and place them in opposite corners, top right near the flower and bottom left under the greeting.

7- Separate the Green Velvet Die Cut Pine Branches from the Fern Branches. Then separate the Pine Branches into smaller sections and tuck two in the same corners.

8- Then add the Leaf & Sprig Die Cuts from the Basic Beige & Brown Patterns. 1 leaf & 2 sprigs in the top right corner and 2 leaves and 1 sprig in the bottom left corner.

9- Add 3 red sequins.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step.
