Valentine's Treat Bag/Pouch & Home Décor Banner - January 2022 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Ideas

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my fourth alternative idea using the January 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Kisses & Hugs.

This kit comes with everything you need to make 10 Heart Shaped Cards, 5 in two different designs. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative cards. Today I am sharing a treat bag & treat pouch idea, plus a home décor Banner. I love creating alternative projects with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit.

If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

It is Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. This is the fourth alternative this week. If you would like to see all my alternatives check out the playlist here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL40dV1oxpkNnH6Pn8QvbyJ4y2GiqHES8V

Treat Bag

1- Stamp your choice for design on the front and back of an envelope. You can choose a different design for the flap. Make sure you stamp it the correct way when it is closed.

2- Use your Paper Trimmer and a scoring blade and score at ½” from the bottom and both sides. Use a bone folder to make good creases on the scored lines. The flip over and repeat.

3- Open the bag flat on the bottom and sides. The corners will turn into triangles. Adhere the triangle flaps to the bottom of the bag with glue dots.

4- Before adding your treats inside punch the holes. Close the bag, add the large heart to the front of the bag. Find the center and punch two holes going through the bag and heart.

5- Stamp your tag and punch a hole in the top left corner.

6- Add treats. Then string 12” of Gold Twine through the holes of the bag, then the heart, then the tag. Tie a bow.

Treat Pouch

1- On one of the two large hearts add Tear & Tape to the bottom half of the inside following along the edge of the heart. Remove paper backing and adhere second heart over first.

2- Place treats inside.

3- Stamp your greeting on one of the White Heart Dies Cuts. Write a message. Adhere to the front of the pouch with dimensionals.

Banner

1- Separate each heart from the cardbase. Punch a hole on each side.

2- String each heart onto a piece of Twine. Add coordinating ribbons between each heart.

3- Decorate with leftover die cuts & stamped images. See detail pictures below.
