Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my first alternative idea using the January 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Kisses & Hugs. This kit comes with everything you need to make 10 Heart Shaped Cards, 5 in two different designs.
What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative cards. Today I am sharing how you can turn one cardbase into three cards. I love creating alternative projects with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit.
If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

1- Separate the hearts at the score line from the cardbase.
2- Remove any sections you want. For this card I removed the “XOXO” with the 1 ½” x 3 ½” Stitched Rectangle Die. Then I stamped a pattern on the solid heart with the Art In Bloom Stamp Set in Flirty Flamingo.
3- Add blending around the outside edge of the heart. I used Flirty Flamingo with the Blushing Bride Hearts & Gray Granite for the Very Vanilla Hearts.
4- Add the heart to a coordinating piece of cardstock 4” x 5 ¼”. You can angle the heart to hide the cut side of the heart. Trim off any overhang.
5- Cut from the envelope two ½” x 4” strips and add over the heart. Wrap 17” of Gold Trim around and tie with a bow.
6- Decorate with any of the Die Cut & Stamped images from the kit. See close up images for more details. Use dimensionals to add depth. Add everything to the front of the cardbase.
7- Add three sequins.
All Done!
I have also created a video walking you through each step and some of the details from the other cards:
