Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my second alternative idea using the December 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Lots of Pun. This kit comes with everything you need to make 9 Punny Cards, 3 in three different designs.
What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit and create different or alternative cards. Today I am sharing how you can make two cards from one cardbase. Then sharing more cards made with the same layout just redesigned. I love creating alternative projects with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit.
If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

1- Begin by separating the back from the front of the yellow checkered cardbase from the kit. Then trim the yellow checkered piece at an angle. I measured the corners at 1 ¾”. Place them on the bottom half of the Pool Party Cardbases.
2- Stamp the splatter & heart image in Pool Party ink on the Pool Party cardstock above the cut angle.
3- Cut from leftover envelope pieces (from alternative #1) two ½” strips. I used the crumb cake and stripe pattern envelopes. Layer these strips over the cut angle. Trim off excess.
4- Stamp the coordinating image on your choice of die cut food. If using two layer them on either size of the vellum circle from the kit. I used the smaller on this card. Use dimensionals to create dimension. Add to the card over the strips.
5- Stamp your greeting on the card with Early Espresso Ink. You can also stamp it on one of the labels from the kit as well.
6- Add any extra embellishments you have left over from
the kit.
All Done!
I have also created a video walking you through each step and some of the details from the other cards:
