Hello My Crafting Friends,

Today I am sharing these Cute Halloween Treat Bags made with the Medium Size Envelopes (5 ¾” x 4 3/8”). I made these as part of Stampin’ Up 2021 Artisan Design Team.

For my project this month I knew I wanted something Halloween Themed and the products from the Cute Halloween Suite are perfect. I love the fun Designer Series Paper and how it coordinates so well with the Cutest Halloween Stamp Set & Halloween Punch. These treat bags are super easy to put together and you can decorate them however you want. I hope you enjoy this tutorial and that it inspires you to create something today.

1- Trim off the glue from the envelope flap. I measured the bottom edge of the envelope at 5 ¾” and cut off about ¾” from the flap. Then score the left, right, and bottom of the envelope at ¾”. I like to score on both the front and back so the paper folds easily.

2- With a Blending Brush add color to both the front and back of the envelope starting from the bottom and working to the top.

3- Stamp a fun image above the bottom score line on the front and back. Keep in mind that the back of the envelope will be the front of the treat bag. I stamped the Candy Corn image in Pumpkin Pie, the Spiders in Black on Highland Heather blend, & the leaves in Old Olive.

4- With a Bone Folder make a crease along all score lines. Then open the envelope and push out the bottom so it is flat. Fold the corners into a triangle and use the Bone Folder to make a crease. Attach the triangle flaps to the bottom of the bag with a Glue Dot.

5- Near the top flap there will be some loose sides, adhere them to the inside of the envelope flap with Tear & Tape.

6- Adhere the ½” strip of DSP to the bottom of the 1 ½” strip. Then adhere them both to the cover the top flap.

7- Punch out a tag from the Essential Tag Punch, rotate it and slide it inside to punch all corners. Stamp your greeting in Memento Black Ink and decorate the tag with coordinating images from the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper or Cutest Halloween Stamp Set. To create the Ghost, stamp in Black ink, add an outline in Light Smoky Slate Blend Marker and soften with the Color Lifter.

8- Add 12” of Black & White Gingham Ribbon and adhere the tag to the bag with adhesive or a hole punch. Tie a bow. Make sure to fill with candy or toys before closing your bag.
