How to add Depth and Dimension to Big Shot Dies | New Product Spotlight Tropical Oasis Product Suite

Today I would like to share with you a technique that can really change your die cuts from boring to beautiful. I have used the alcohol Stampin’ Blend Markers to add dimension and color to basic die cut images. I use the large pineapple die cut from the In the Tropics Dies as the main image for this card. I hope you enjoy this tutorial.

- Cut with the Large Pineapple Leaves (Old Olive Cardstock) Pineapple Base (Daffodil Delight Cardstock) 3 Small Flowers (Melon Mambo Cardstock)
- Use the Stampin’ Blends Markers to color on top of the Old Olive leaves. Start with the Dark Old Olive Blend marker color along the lines of the die cut. Then add a little at the base of some of the leaves to add some shadow.
- Use the Light Old Olive Blend Marker and blend over the dark ink.
- I placed the base of the pineapple so the cut outs look like hearts.
- Start with the Light Old Olive marker and add a little green on each tip that is pointing down.
- Use the Dark Crumb Cake marker add a little arch at the top of the green.
- Take the Light Daffodil Delight and blend all the colors together.
- Use the Dark Daffodil Delight and add a little border around the pineapple and some shadows along the bottom right side.
- Use your fingernails and curl the leaves up slightly.
- On the Melon Mambo flowers add a red color to the center. I used Light Cherry Cobbler marker
- Take the cut out area from the base of the pineapple and outline around the shape onto the Crushed Curry Cardstock.
- Use a pair of scissors and cut along the inside of the traced line.
- Add some shadow to the Crushed piece with Dark Crumb Cake Marker and the Light and Dark Daffodil markers to blend everything together.
- Add the pineapple base to the cut out with some liquid adhesive.
- Cut out the blue DSP with the largest label from the Stitched Nested Label dies.
- Add the pineapple to the front of the blue label.
- Wrap 18” of White Bakers Twine twice around the label and the base of the pineapple. Tie a bow.
- On the Crumb Cake Cardstock add the brown DSP strips at different angles on the front of the card.
- Add the pineapple label to the center with dimensionals.
- Stamp the greeting you want in Early Espresso Ink – I used the birthday sentiment in the stamp set

- Cut out the greeting with the 3rd smallest die from the Stitched Nested Label dies.
- Add the greeting to the base of the pineapple just above the twine and slightly to the left . Add 1 dimensional on the left side and then add snail to the rest.
- Add the three Melon Mambo flowers around the greeting.

All done!
