A Gift for You – Festive Bow & Mistletoe Christmas Alternative Card with Tuck Spot - Nov 2025 PP Box

Welcome back to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey! Today I’m sharing a charming holiday card perfect for gifting a gift card or money this holiday season. This design features an open envelope tuck spot for a gift card, beautiful bold bow, layered mistletoe greenery and warm colors.

If you enjoy classic Christmas colors with soft background textures, this project is going to be a favorite. The design looks detailed but is quick to create, and it's a great way to use those Paper Pumpkin pieces.

CUTTING GUIDE https://drive.google.com/file/d/1brzTovK8oGR9Leowz1tH5s-mL6kS_Uck/view?usp=drive_link

1. Stamp the Cardbase

Begin by stamping wreaths randomly across your card base in Basic Beige ink. This creates a beautiful tone-on-tone background without overwhelming the focal point.

2. Emboss

Emboss your Pecan Pie cardstock piece, then adhere it to the center of the card. You can use any embossing folder. I used a retired crosshatch design from the Basics Pack.

Adhere it to the center of the cardbase.

3. Create the Tuck Spot

Use the Cutting Guide to sperate a section from one of the Gift Boxes. It should have three flaps and one straight side.

On the straight side cut a semi-circle from the middle using a circle punch or die. I used a 1-1/2” Circle Punch.

Use the Cutting Guide to cut a small strip about 1/2" x 3-3/4” adhere about 1/2" above the bottom score line.

Fold the flaps to the back and add Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Wrap 10” of Linen Thread back and forth on the front adhering the ends to the Tear & Tape.

Add this to the center of the Pecan Pie piece. Do not put any adhesive in the center so you can tuck a gift card or money inside.

4. Add the Bow & Mistletoe

Color the Bow with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend Markers. Start with the Light all over the bow. Add the Dark Marker where you want shadows. Then soften the edges with the Light Marker again.

Attach the large red bow on the upper left area of the panel.

Separate a small section from the Branch with Leaves Die Cut. Adhere over the Bow with small glue dots.

Add a Red Embellishment to the center of the Bow to hide the end of the branches.

5. Add the Sentiment

Stamp “A Gift for You” on the sticky side of a Post-In Note. Fussy cut around the text only. Keep the area with the Present – this will be your mask.

Ink up the greeting with Cherry Cobbler ink. Apply the mask to the present & bow area of the greeting – making sure only the greeting is visible. The sticky side should help it stay in place.

Stamp on Basic White Cardstock and cut out with a circle punch or die. I used 1-1/2” Circle Punch.

Adhere with dimensionals to the right of the Bow.

6. Finishing Touches

Add two more red enamel dots around the sentiment to create balance and color repetition.

Add a white panel inside if you want space for a handwritten message.

And your card is finished!
